I have tried posting to different threads to get help but haven't rec'd any yet. Can anyone here help?
I am with Natwest in Scotland and am due back £5000+ and interest thereon which amounts to a further £1200.
I have written first letter and their time is up tomorrow but I now realise I am over the limit for a small claim in Scotland. I am willing to 'hang on in there' and ride this out no matter what but can anyone advise what I should do next?

Hi, I'll get back to you asap, I'm just asking somewhere for an answer to your question. Didn't want you to think you were being ignored. ;) by the way, do you live in Scotland? is your branch in Scotland?

Thanks for advice, i added my refunds to the template but i am now going to change it! I am so determined to go for this even more so since the other day i was pleading with a guy from Natwest about a bank charge and when i said i could see why people were trying to get bank charges back he almost laughed and told me to go ahead and try. I will keep you posted as to how it goes!

Don't people like him make you mad  you go for every penny, you will 99.99999% get it all back! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think I remember reading somewhere you can do that (live somewhere else but use an English address for the courts) but just hang on & I'll try & get the correct info for you. If I don't get back to you tonight, I'll try tomorrow if you've had no luck by then.

I will look out for a reply tomorrow if you have time but I really appreciate you doing this for me so far......I am exhausted looking over the last few weeks since nothing seems to quite match my claim.
    Take care.

Just called the complaints department and was put right through to a really nice lady who informed me there was an offer of £2451 put in the system but would take approx. 21 days for them to send it out. Will be checking back in and following up. The poor lady sounded really tired. :D

    Just a quick update,

Sent letter requesting statements 19/02/07 got them on 12/03/07 in a battered torn envelope so the postie could see my financial state

Sent 1st letter requesting my charges 16/03/07 of £4***.** heard nothing

Rang customer relations & they had nothing on their screen about my case

Sent 2nd letter requesting my charges & threatening court ect 30/03/07 (less than a week ago), just rang them out of curiosity), had a verbal offer of the FULL amount! (must say the girl on the phone was lovely to talk to).

I was told it will take up to a month to get the letter to me as it has to go through different departments, typed up, verified, checked ect ect, due to the high demand it is taking longer than usual to process claims. When I get the offer I have to accept & sign & send it back, then wait a while longer for it to be deposited in my account

I'm due to file with MCOL in just over a week, so I think I'll give them a while longer out of courtesy on my part :p

I'm not counting my chickens before Easter...oops I mean before they hatch ;) but I'll let you know as & when I do.

Hope this helps anyone, especially those worried about claiming larger amounts. My hubby thought I was flogging a dead horse & was wasting my time (I was beginning to think he was right), but you don't get if you don't ask, it's our money after all & thanks to everyone who has supported & advised me this far :T

I am at a similar stage to you except I should have started MCOL on Saturday. Most of the advice I had was to still pursue, however I like you am considering holding off MCOL in the hope I get a letter soon.

How long are you going to give them before you pursue MCOL?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if so can I do anthing about this.

In some of my earlier posts I mentioned how I emailed Natwest to get my statements. I was very impressed with their quick response and said the statements were on their way.

On Checking my account today I noticed that £5 has been deducted as a charge for 'Historic Statements Request'. In their E-mails there was no mention of this charge. I have requested they refund the account but haven't heard anything back yet.

Are they allowed to do this? And if so can I include it in the amount I re-claim back?

Wouldn't of minded as much if they had informed me of the charge
