We got our offer latter last saturday and we sent our first letter on the 6 feb and they got it on the 8th so think its about a month . It did take them quite a while to get the offer letter out to us though , they told me about the offer on the phone about 2 weeks before we got the letter0
-
Same here deedee, took 2 weeks for offer to arrive after i was told on the phone it was in post.
How long after sending offer back accepting it before the money goes into the account?Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Ive no idea how long it is taking them to put the money into the bank account , we sent our acceptance letter back on monday through thier internal mail from our local branch (i dont trust royal mail) . The money still isnt in our bank account yet so getting a bit frustrated with them , they said it would take between 7 and 10 days for the money to be credited but now they have told my hubby it could be upto 14 days . How long does it take to put in some numbers in a computer and press go ? god it annoys me how long they take0

I have been a single parent for many years, and got married last year, but am no better off as husband is in a very low paid job and we have 5 daughters!
I get tax credits but it's only just enough to live on.
We have several regular direct debits for tv licence, insurance, phone bill etc and it's a struggle to find the money, but we almost always get ther in the end.
Last week, we set up a transfer from my husbands bank account to mine (same bank) to cover a direct debit.
The transfer happened on the same day as the direct debit went out, and I was charged £38, and the direct debit was returned.
I phoned the bank and was told that the money needed to be transfered the day before.
I am fuming!!!
This hasn't ever happened before, and £38 is a lot of money to us, it's a weekly shop!
I have checked out my bank statements for the past six months and I reckon they owe me at least £72 for that period alone, can't imagine what they owe us for six years, and that is just my account.
It's so wrong of them to take money from people who obviously have very little, or anyone for that matter.
I sent my first letter yesterday, to Natwest bank, any idea how long it takes to get a reply?
It would be such a blessing if we could get our money back, i reckon it would let the kids have a much longed for summer break.
Can't help thinking I'm being daft and they won't give me anything though!
Any advice and reassurance out there?0
