TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -

Only sent the first letter on the 16th Feb so has taken just 3 weeks!!!

can anyone tell me if i would be able to make a claim even though i have an arranged overdraft
i usually stick to it but when i have been charged i have phoned the bank and they have gave me a refund
what i do get charged is the £12 fee and then int this month £17.42
can i therefore claim the interest?0 -
I've been dealing with dp's closed Natwest account. It's only for £172.43 inc the interest...sent the letter Friday 2nd March, so will keep you updated how it goes...if he gets a response!0

No you can't claim the interest for going overdrawn due to spending, please read post 4 in the Reclaim Help Thread, link in my signature.0 -
Just under a year ago I sent a request for my charges and a LBA letter 14 days later to my bank asking for charges etc. Natwest ignored the letters and then we moved house so i didn't have time to continue the claim.
Last week i sent another adapted request letter and enclosed copies of the previous 2 letters and said i would be sending another LBA in 14 days followed by a claim etc.
I have just checked my banking and they have taken a £5 historic statement fee. Anyone know what this is for?
In the recent letter i did not request any statements. Before i sent the letters last year i sent a DPA letter asking for 6 years of statements and enclosed a cheque for £10 but i can't remember if they took it. If this is what the charge is for is it appropriate for them to wait nearly a year before debiting my account?
Thanks

I have just phoned them up. The charge is a mistake and they are refunding it. Grrr!0

cazmaxlu wrote:I sent Natwest a notice of issue thru moneyclaim and they had until 28 feb to reply. They didn't bother to reply (did not file an admission), so I completed the 'request for judgement' form asking for payment by 09/03. Today I received an 'acknowledgement of service' from Natwest which means they are taking me to court (dated 02/03)! Surely they cannot do this after the 28/02 deadline can they??
Please help - I'm panicking now, thought the money was in the bag............
Hi
they have from the date they were issued with the claim to acknowledge which will be a few days after when the moneyclaim proceedings were started0 -

i couldn't find the issue date either - just kept trying it everyday i though it was nearly up. They entered a defence at the last moment so i couldn't enter a judgement by default anyway. Just waiting for a hearing date now....0 -

The claim was served 5 days from when you started the claim online.
The bank have 14 days from then to put in a defence.
If they acknowledge, it gives them a further 14 days, making it 28 days.
So really add 5 days plus 28 days to the date you first filled the claim in online and this would be the longest you would have to wait.
Hope this makes sense0
