Constructive Advice Regarding Benefits Required Please

Mixxtrix - a few serious questions for you.
Do you actually want to work?
Is finding employment (any employment), important to you?
Do you think the steps you are taking are covering all avenues to gain that employment?
I only ask as the more you reply, the more I have this feeling that you put more importance on the faults of the job centre and its staff than you do in improving your chances of gaining employment.
I apologise if this is not the case but, to be honest, all the double speak has completely addled my brain!
Hi, Sue
1. Yes I want to work, and Full Time Permanent
2. I will gladly consider any employment that is Full Time & Permanent, where no experience was part of the job requirement, based at a location in which public transport ran at times to reach work place in reasonable time, and at times where sudden overtime demanded work to such a time where public transport was still running then yes.
3. The Job Center have paid me Jobseekers allowance for 5 years until now. So do I think I've done enough? or have the Job Center let me continue to go so long without doing what was required of me?
Those above reasons are not me being awkward, but if I were to apply for anything other then ones I had experience in or was less then 36-40 hours and having no experience did not leave it possible to allow an employer to later find me not suitable for the job, for whatever reason, whatever job it was, then that will affect not only my benefit money if I were sacked, but also being sacked means losing a home I had for 10 years to take employment which other then the 3 listed, is considered to be the last extreme job type to take.
The following is what can be considered as Actively Seeiking Work:
In order to obtain Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) you must be able to show that you taking active steps to gain employment. You are expected to take at least three such steps each week.
The JSA regulations give the following as examples of job seeking activities:
• applying for jobs (either orally or in writing);
• obtaining information about job vacancies;
• registering with an employment agency;
• following referral by an employment officer, seeking specialist advice on improving your job prospects with regard to any physical or mental limitations that you may have;
• putting together a CV;
• obtaining a reference or testimonial from a previous employer;
• compiling a list of employers who may be able to offer you work and seeking information from them;
• seeking information about an occupation with a view to seeking employment in that occupation.
The DWP Decision Maker's Guide states that "any other steps can be taken into account providing they give claimants their best chance of finding employment"And this is what decision makers are INSTRUCTED to take into consideration before making the decision.
Decision Makers are instructed to taking the following factors into account when deciding whether or not you have taken steps than you can be reasonably expected to take when looking for work;
your skills, qualifications and abilities; and
your physical or mental limitations; and
the time that has passed since you last worked: and
your work experience; and
the steps that you have taken in previous weeks and the effectiveness of those steps in improving your chance of getting employment; and
the availability and location of employment; and
any time you spent launching or crewing a lifeboat, on duty as a part-time fireman, performing emergency duties for the benefit of others, performing duties as a member of any territorial or reserve force: and
any time you spent on an Outward Bound course; and
attending a course in the training of guide dogs (this only applies if you are blind); and
participating in training in the use of aids which will help you overcome any physical or mental limitations that you may have; and
taking part in an employment related course as a part time student; and
doing voluntary work with a view to improving your chances of finding work; and
taking part in an employment or training programme; and
if you are homeless in any one week and the steps that you have taken to seek accommodation.
All those in Red have not been taken into consideration by "A Decision Maker" who stopped my claim on what she felt was not enough to do for work which was adequate enough for the last 5 years.
Hopefully now, people will actually see that all the hassle I put up with on comments which I did not have to answer to, the fact I did, always was done with truthful intentions. So when I am appearing to limit my self in what jobs I choose to do, is actually not entirely true, I am just thinking ahead to if I did take any job which I had no experience of, took it and through lack of experience ended up doing something to cost the company money, would then mean I'm sacked, not able to sign and claim JSA, and be loose a home I had for 10 years, to be put on the streets, over 5 years of no benefit peoblems to the last 2 weeks where it's iquite clear as to how imartial they are when deciding the amount the LAW says you are required to live on each week. The fact why they probably take 1 weeks money off you, is because the 1 day late signing which would be £13.05, is something people can just about live without, so a full week is harsh punishment escpecially if it's got away with.
That's why I would do anything other then what I know I signed that they have signed aslong as I keep to it. Which is easy to do when you do a Job you have experience in, but have the same barrier in place that is not helping maximize my chances in a job area I have experience the most in, now be a step away from another suspension because now I have not had income from the 8rh of feb, where the next payment is due March 4th to have to find money that was stopped simply because they can is utter crap. To top things off, I had a letter from the training provider I did the Stage 4 FND with for the 12 months with again no help whatsoever, accept lies and claims of sanctions being sent to the JC actually informed me that I could be entitled to High Street Store Vouchers if I put my name and address in so they can check to see if I'm applicable lol :T they even have the audacity to ask if I had found employment, oh lest not forget the Customer Survey that include with the gift you never actually get anyway, either a way to monitor K.P.I's to see if the information the personal adviser at the place submitted ever got me into work or not, either they, or they want to know what I would say if a temptation was offerd lol I know how quick they are to act on promises, so I'll bin that
Theres loads of stuff not just this, but it will only create a war of words, to the point that it burnt me out. but
Hope that answered your questions, and to see why the reasons become relevant to me.0 -
You still haven't said ( I feel I'm going to regret asking this!) why you feel that any job you take has to be full time and permanent, given that it was shown pages ago that you'd be better off in part time work than you are claiming JSA.0

@ Oldernotwise
@ jinky67
The fact that the 2 Constructive replies to that answered my original query, where both comments referred to regulations in which I had grounds to appeal against my problems, where one was off an individual who had been out of work 12 years, (yet see no one giving that guy stick), and the other also referring to regulations as to which I would have good cause to appeal, is why I no longer have time or need to answer irrelevant questions to satisfy those to suggest I should do anymore that I have already done. I appreciate you had questions I can answer, but will never ever satisfy a Tax Payer, so a line has to be drawn, and I think now is the best time to do so.0 -

Wow. Have you ever considered using shorter sentences?
I do think, as you have been so keen to engage in lengthy discourse, that you should answer the question. In less then two paragraphs if possible.0 -
He says that he's burnt out! Thank God for that. His rants would probably rival "War and Peace" if he was operating at full tilt.0

No-one responded to "thebadman"'s post because they suspect you and he are one and the same person.
Same, rambling, self-indulgent prose - same syntax - same basic spelling errors.
I logged onto my local job website last night (rural north west highlands) - there were 28 jobs (albeit low-paid and menial).
But - to set a good example to my children and to fulfil my own work ethic - I would have applied for all of them (were I not already working).
I am that breed you seem to dislike - a single parent with 2 children (single through bereavement) - but I have worked, and will continue to work to provide for myself and my family.
I would do anything - not limit my own options.
I wish you luck in the future - but I cannot bear this thread any longer - it has become a completely pointless forum for your aggrieved ramblings.

Now here is some points to take into consideration -
4. With no disrespect to Badman, and before any one wishes to make sarcastic comments on his spelling in the comment he made, then for this person to speak out like he has, who would require attention in order to maximize his chances of finding work which he could be more then capable of doing had it not been down to not getting the full support and help needed to which he is obviously fighting a disadvantage which would probably restrict his chances of finding work he could probably do better then any other individual on an employers shortlist when seeking employee's.
.
hmm interesting don't worry about my spelling or grammar as long as you understand what i am typing, some times we all make mistakes in life weather it be spelling or anything else, if some ONE has to go on, about my spelling, THEN they are truly lost.
I AM NOT NEW TO THIS FORUM I WAS BANNED A LONG TIME AGO FOR DEFENDING THE, PEOPLE WHO ASK FOR HELP AND ARE SET ON BY UGLY PEOPLE. I DEFEND THE POOR! THE WEAK! THE UNEMPLOYED! FATHERS WHO PAY TO MUCH CSA PAYMENTS! I ALSO DEFEND MY SELF!
Don’t let these people get to you, it’s obvious you’re intelligent enough to handle your self; i hope everything works out for you.
you will always be surrounded by some people who hate you, for silly reasons who make stupid comments jut brush them off, people like that are the ones suffering your just trying to gather information to better your situation.
P.S it has been 15 years i have been unemployed checked at the job center
Just cant afford to pay CSA £600 a month! you lot like that ? bring on the hate ha haa
Remember this!!.. all they harp on about is the tax payer they make is sound as if that’s all you pay taxes for poor unemployed! nonsense, you pay taxes for a load of things, the tax payer bailed out the banks, the tax payer, pays for silly business ventures of the government, we? sorry i mean you he he he... pay for politicians and there lavish life styles, second homes, travel expenses bla bla bla
the tax payers and the politicians arguments are weak , to always harp on about the tax payer pays for unemployed is just an excuse to bully people an get votes, furthermore enslave them on the flexible new deal scheme which cost billions a year. Who’s paying ? the tax payer lol so you silly tax payer keep harping on government are milking you haa haa and then you blame it on the poor, unemployed lolll stupid fools, you people are easily led.
as flexible new deal enslaves there unemployed, who now work for there benefit all the have done is fill the so-called jobs that normal person would have been paid the basic rate, so now all that does is drive down wages, why? because the people you enslave will not get pad nothing instead work for benefit, saving the business lots of money, yet pushing people out of work on onto these stupid schemes what does that create? Lower paid jobs. slavery
As fare as i am concerned the unemployed should rise up and say no more! This is England lets do what Egypt done!! And protest.
we shall not be enslaved BY THE GOVERNMENT!! This is England lol (this is Sparta) suppose to be a joke, what ever see ya
ALWAYS APPEAL EVEN IF YOU LOSE, ALWAYS APPEAL, MY JOBSEEKERS ALLOWANCE WAS CUT OFF LAST WEEK. I DEFENDED, GOT MY MONEY BACK. THE JOB CENTER ADVISER IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. FLEXIBLE NEW DEAL IS NOT YOUR FRIEND, THEY WILL CUT YOU OFF FOR NOTHING LEAVING YOU TO BECOME A CRIMINAL.
