FINALLY PROBLEM SOLVED! THANKS TO THE 2 MAIN SOURCES FOR THIS THREAD BEING DEAD & BURIED UNDER QUITE A LOT OF NEGATIVITY BUT I RESPECT EACH AND EVERY COMMENT MADE REGARDLESS, I WILL UPDATE ON OUTCOME SUCCESSFUL OR NOT.
I WILL JUST LEAVE ONE LAST THING AS REFERENCE TO REFER TO ANY COMMENTS THAT I DO NOT WISH TO RESPOND TO ANYMORE.
Reasonable Employment - You can only rigidly restrict the type of work you say you will do for the first 13 weeks, or if there are physical or mental reasons why you can't do certain jobs, or if you have a sincere, religious or conscientious objection to doing certain jobs.[/B]
But by law (JSA Regs reg.10-1) they must take into account your skills, qualifications and experience; the type and number of vacancies within daily travelling distance and any jobs you've been turned down for. So if you have been unemployed and unable to find work for a long time they have to recognise that your chances of obtaining work are limited.
Many thanks.

You forgot your signing on date.
By all means try to appeal, but you don't have many hoops to jump through on JSA, but one of them is singing in, on-time, on the right day.
On JSA its the most important diary date!
If you were working and an employer changed your day off, or a day you had to work, and you forgot, what do you think would happen? Would you be paid? Whose fault is it?
By all means appeal if you feel strongly, but trying to claim money "for stress" is silly and makes you look childish.
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
Please send a similar letter to the JCP office. If possible, be even more long-winded and meandering. The workers there need some relief theseadays and will be delighted with your humorous communique. They may even frame it.0

.. I have been Long Term Unemployed (5 years nearly) this is purely not through choice, and have done over 1 year of Voluntary Work for a Charity Based Organization ..
Can't answer your original query but just want to let you know that there is an Employment and jobseeking forum on MSE where the members will be happy to give you hints and tips to end the misery of your unemployment.0 -
Firstly, may I say that it will become apparent that I have been Long Term Unemployed (5 years nearly) this is purely not through choice
Five years looking for a job?
If I worked in the JC your card would be marked in red pen with words to the effect of:
0/10: Must Try Harder or See Me After Lesson
By the way. Your musings are missing some "magic" words like "mental health issues" or "I'm disabled (in some way)".0 -
Thanks for the reply, but with regards to your comments...You forgot your signing on date.

I did actually state that I did not have any issue with the fact that my money had been stopped. And in response to your question above, then yes I could expect to lose 1 DAYS PAY not 1 WEEK, but as I stated, this is something I agreed to be bound to after signing the latest Jobseekers agreement.
as for....

even though I do not intend to go off on the sick with stress this has actually caused me, but even if I did, I'm pretty sure that if you had money stopped to the sum of which you could not pay 1 months electric which was due out via direct debit, that could not be made, which resulted in a £25 administration charge due to the funds not being available in the account, now making me behind by almost £100 on electric bills, to then have to find bills for telephone calls and Internet which is my main source of Job Search, but have no alternative but to cancel existing contracts due to not being able to pay 1 bill let alone more, which then means being sanctioned again because I no longer have cost effective and efficient means of searching for employment, hardly makes me look anything but Silly and Childish.
If I wanted to look Silly and Childish, I would not of bothered going to the extent of emphasizing on the parts you obviously failed to notice,
Like I stated Citizens Advice list Stress caused by lack of information which could of been avoided if it had been made more clearly to the recipient as one of the main things they deal with, so I'm obviously not being "Silly and Childish" on my own.0 -
may i ask why its taken you five years to find work surely if you willing to do anything then theres telesales jobs you could have done or agency workReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

OP, you really need to ask for more help in seeking work. No one should be out of work for five years, I can only assume you are making yourself come across as an unattractive employee.Gone ... or have I?0

OK,
So it seems (as expected) there were always going to be sarcastic comments.
For those who found it quite amusing, but obviously have the luxuries of making do on their partners benefits, possibly claiming child support for 2 or more kids which enables them to make ends meet, but still somewhat feel they have to linger around a money saving website in order to live comfortably, then I should just mention that
A. Yes I did go through 1 year with depression caused to unfair dismissal after working 5 years for an employee in which I now have a work related illness.
B. If I thought for 1 Second, that there would be any chance of bumping into Qualified, Non-Temping Job Center Staff that actually knew their job then I would of not posted in this forum.
Unfortunately I could go on, but it obviously seems that it's the same old case of the Tax Payer against the Unemployed Scenario who have obviously been watching too much Jeremy Kyle.
If I wanted to try and be smart and witty, I would just sign off, give the DWP adequate time to remove all personal data stored against me on file, and then sign back on as a new claimant and not go down the rapid reclaim route in which allows the job center 24 weeks after you stop being a client to keep hold of your data on their systems, therefore bypassing the data protection act.0 -

What does the OP expect prefixing their thread title with such a red flag? And in response to your question above, then yes I could expect to lose 1 DAYS PAY not 1 WEEK
You have been on benefits for five years. You know the penalty for missing a signing is one week's money not one day's.I'm pretty sure that if you had money stopped to the sum of which you could not pay 1 months electric which was due out via direct debit, that could not be made, which resulted in a £25 administration charge due to the funds not being available in the account, now making me behind by almost £100 on electric bills, to then have to find bills for telephone calls and Internet which is my main source of Job Search, but have no alternative but to cancel existing contracts due to not being able to pay 1 bill let alone more, which then means being sanctioned again because I no longer have cost effective and efficient means of searching for employment, hardly makes me look anything but Silly and Childish.

Nonsense. You are not maintaining your bank account correctly. If you are not prepared to maintain your account like a grown up then do not pay by direct debits. You have had a fixed income for five years. You have had more than enough time to build up a buffer of a couple of months payments in any accounts that are used for bills.
Hic-coughs happen. Plan for them.0
