hi, i posted a letter to HSBC asking for £711.00 to be refunded to me on the 2nd feb, got a letter back saying they was looking into my claim an would contact me as soon as they have completed there investigations. that was dated the 7 feb , the 14 days is up tomorrow ! i am not desperate for the cash back so was thinking of giving them a call and or another week to come up with an offer ?
do i have to have a complete copy of all paperwork i sent hsbc to use the moneyclaim site ?
thanks in advance peps !0 -

Hi all
Just to say that I have been to the Post Office and sent recorded delivery my letter to HSBC asking for repayment of £470 plus interest.
Obviously have given them 14 days to reply so here's waiting.
Another thing - how do we check to see if the letter had been signed for? I understand that it is via the PO website, am I being dumb???
What if it's not signed for - I wonder what poor oik has to sign for all these letters every morning at HSBC HQ.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Hi Guys,
I am putting together a list of all charges from HSBC. I Have logged onto my internet banking and total charges in the last 6 years is £2.125. I have entered this information into a spread sheet detailing Date, Description of Charge (basically what it details on the statement, ie total charges) and the amount of charge.
I do have a few questions I wondered if anyone could answer:
1.)can I add 'interest' charges that are detailed on my statement straiht after 'Total Charges'?
2.)can I add charges called 'Notified Fee/Charges?
Many Thanks.0 -
You can't claim back interest for going overdrawn. As for notified fee/charges call your bank to check what they mean by that. Post 4 in this thread for what you can claim.

Ok, thanks for the prompt reply. Am I doing the right thing by putting the charges on a spreadsheet, I don't need to print off copies off all statements with charges on?0

So HSBC have agreed to pay up which delighted me but now i have noticed from previous posts that they dont do it within the 7 days that they stated.
I have sent my signed form back to them today, faxed, emailed and posted (i love bugging them with 3 copies of everything) to say that I am accepting the offer.
I believe it is 7 working days i have to wait so i will, but after that i'm going back to ringing them on the hour every hour.
So i suppose what i'm asking is, "what is the shortest and longest period people have had to wait before getting there cash once they'd sent back the acceptance form"???0 -

Oops I answered that and lost my reply, better with a spreadsheet in fact and remember to copy it a couple of times as you may need this later.0 -
So there i no need to send a copy of statements? just the spreadsheet will do?0
