Excellent point minty18 and these are the numbers that I used.
0800 88 11 55 This number is for complaints and related to qeneral quality of service issues
08456 028 006 This seems to similar to the department above but is more specific to charges
I hope this helps.0 -

The 006 number seemed to be best for me, they knew exactly what i was talking about when i was on the phone to them and believe it or not they were actually REALLY helpfull, suppose there is a first time for everything.0 -
Hi all,
Just prepared my charges from the last six years - equates to £510.36 with interest.
Has anyone tackled HSBC with an amount less than a thousand say?
Also, what address do I send this letter to claiming for my money? Sorry to ask a basic question but I have seen to send it to my branch, the canada square address (which I can see from my garden - wish I could throw a couple of miles) or an address in Leeds.
I am confusedProud to be dealing with my debts0 -
i'd go for the one in leeds and i do believe there is a post that confirms this.0

have a look at the success story thread - there are plenty of people on there that have claimed less than 1k0 -
I received a letter today saying, the copies of the statements will start to arrive shortly in seperate batches.
Didnt send my tenner back tho,lol
So after this, what kind of time do they take to come through, they are still within their 40 days as well?0 -

Hi... Yes and yes, you claim for both. add them together to get a total figure. However, if you're gonna claim for interest too, work it out on the interest calculator in Martin's article then put THAT figure in your letter.

Read this article before you do anything, it explains it really well. There's also a Sticky at the top of the board (Contact Addresses etc) that will help. Good luck:D'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
