  • hi. i'm new to the site.
i'm also making a claim against HSBC.
    1. i applied for statements in writing through my local branch, which i recieved within the stated time. note: this was free for me, as i didn't attach any form of payment! the only letter i recieved from them was an apology for the amount of time it was taking as they had to get statements from 2 branches. (just thought i'd let you know!)
    anyways..
    2. sent 1st letter requesting repayment of charges, minus the interest.
    no response!
    3. sent 2nd letter threatening court action, and if taken to court i would be claiming all costs.
    still no response!
i now wish to proceed with court action, but not sure how to go about it.
mainly because i've switched branches of the years (through moving house) and i'm not sure who exactly to be claiming against. whether it's the branch i'm with now, or the previous one aswell!?
would be grateful if someone could give me some guidance. thanks

    Hi

    Welcome to the site.

When you issue a court claim, it's very important to issue it to the registered name/address of your bank.

Have a look at the second post IN THIS THREAD to find what you need.

I sent my initial claim letter opn 17/10/06 asking for my money back

I then send the letter before action letter on 2/11/06.

I have had no reply to either. They were sent to the head of customer relations at 1 Canada Square.

    What should I do now?

I'm presuming that you sent these recorded or similar so that you can prove delivery. If so, go ahead and file a claim!
