Not sure of right place and i am dense when comes to this sort of stuff.
Cut a long story short
HSBC charged me xmas up to 16th decmember £41 in (I had no arranged OD) so I accepted it and arranged £148 to go into this acc from my NW,however it was very slow going and I went £68 od in the period of 2 days (waiting for tranfer ) so they are now charging £50 on 7th feb for period of 16th dec -17th Jan what makes it worse is HSBC rang on the 10th jan and set up a £200 OD facility for the 11.01/07
I phoned and more or less got laughed at do i have to pay this fee on the 7th Feb?

If you have already phoned to try to get the charge cancel and they said no it's likely that you will have to pay it.
However you can reclaim the charge and any others from the last 6 years by following the procedures at the top of this page.0 -
HSBC aknowledged my Moneyclaim on the 18th of Jan. Today I recieved a letter from Colin Langdale offering £990. My claim including court costs is £1450. I am not happy with this offer.
HSBC claim that they believe they would succsesfully defend if this came to court. They also state that if I want to escalate my concerns I should write to the Senior Manager of the Service Quality Team., if they cant deal with it I will be referred to the Financial Ombudsman.
What should I do? Just ignore the letter and let my claim take its course, or write to HSBC again explaining Im not happy with the offer,, or call them?
Any advice greatly appreciated.Lightbulb moment - 29/01/2007

Only problem is, they want to pay the amount into my HSBC current account, which is still up and running but I no longer use. I am currently repaying my debts through a company called payplan and only use this account to make payments towards my overdraft and loan.
Due to them being very awkward however, they refuse to accept my reduced loan payment offer and therefore I have not made a payment towards my loan for about 5 months, until December as there was insufficient funds in the account (which of course they charged me for!!). If they pay the money into my account can they take it and put it towards my loan without my say-so? Can I ask for the payment in cheque?
Help on the matter will be much appreciated as I only have 10 days to respond and the letter is dated 18th January.
Thank yoooouuuu!
Jemma
I too have a loan and had missed 5 months payments.
My money (£2083 refunded bank charges) went into my current account yesterday and it wasn't taken for my loan.
I left the money owed in my account, withdrew the rest and then rang and paid the last 5 months payments. Was no problem at all.
If your loan has a separate account number i dont think they can just take money from your bank account.
Hope this has helped a bit!!0 -

Just continue with the procedure if you're not happy with the offer.
Don't call them and don't wait for any 'investigations' or 'complaints' procedures. Do exactly what you've said you'll do and stick rigidly to your timetable.0 -
On behalf of husband
HSBC BANK
Amount asked for originally: £2287 Offered £1945 Declined offer
Amount paid £2969 including £120 court fees and interest @8%
We were due to issue a warrant of execution tomorrow but checked on the old internet banking and its been credited!!! We won by default as the bank did not enter a defence.
Please do not let the banks fob you off, stand your ground, if they were in the right, with all their money and access to laywers why have they not defended in court?????
Another victory for the small man in the street!!!!!:T :jAnd yes the lady in the avatar is me

Still no offer letter, either the original or the copy, now 10 days after they say they sent it first class!
Well, still no offer letter not the original or a copy! Another phone call today, and they said they had been sent first class, they checked my address which was all correct, ohhh the mystery of the missing offer letter!
A third letter was meant to have gone in the post today!, They wouldn't fax it to me, so I shall wait and see I suppose.0
