No why wait?
Definately call and hassle them. I have the number I only used at home AND the department that deals with these 'issues', if you can wait till tomorrow I'll post it.
Be warned though three times when trying to explian this to the 'forigen' chap on the other end, they will put you through to the British department will be told "Hello Sir, I understad you have query about your managed loan", which I don't evn have!!!...sooo frustrating, I'm sure thats the underlying reason they have the call centres abroad.0 -
Hiya
Im just about to send off my first letter to HSBC to claim £360 i charges and wondered if anyone could give me a little advice? Do I send the letter to my branch address or is it a H/O address? Also there is about £120 in interest I could add to the claim, has anyone had any sucess in claiming the interest back too or is everyone just claiming the actual charges
Advice very much appreciated0 -

What interest are you saying you "could" add to the claim? If its the 8% that you can add to your claim you certainly can add it at this stage, have a listen to Martin's audio file here...
You may get lucky and get the interest on top, but even if not, the legal feedback I've had is that it’s one route to pushing the bank to settle quickly so it can offer to pay you without the interest. Of course there is a risk that asking for too much makes them less likely to settle too - sadly this is an art not a science. This isn't an easy concept so I've recorded a quick audio file which may help explain it.0 -
Thank you Edinburghlass! Yes its just the 8% interest to be added.
I already have all my bank statements online so no need to write and request them so am I right in thinking I just need to start by sending letter 2 and ask for the money back?0 -
Yup! Good luck0

The number for the service quality team is 08456 028006, this is the department that deals with the claims.

Your mortgage is a different agreement from your bank account.0 -

If you have had late payment charges on your loans you should be able to reclaim those but you won't be able to claim normal loan charges.0
