    Congrats that was quick!!

Quick update on mine, took AQ to court on Tuesday, recieved a letter this morning from DG Solicitors asking for breakdown of charges as "At this juncture we are unable to address your claim without the information sought and which will serve to delay any potention resolution of this matter". Now they are asking for this after filed claim online at beginning of December?? Anything to delay a bit longer!! Fingers crossed for offer in next week or so, don't want to go to court

  • Sent 1st letter to Leeds Service centre on 2nd January 14 Days up yesterday
when i got home there was a nice letter from Mr Langdale making an offer
    i claimed £2200 (+600 interest) and got back £1890 (roughly 85%).

Got put through to own branch today (first time in years) to ask how it is made up and was told

    a) it is not shown on your banking record (although may do when they receive your accpetance)
b)They have had to set up a seperate office and team in Leeds to cope with all the claims.

Nice to know that Martin has helped reduce unemployment

    A very happy customer

P.s from latest offers posted from HSBC seems around 85% of amount claimed is what they are offering
  • yep bang on 85%!

    Hi there one and all

Just a quick one...I'm just trawling through my HSBC statements to tot-up just how much I'm going to try and get back from them, and have come across a few charges for 'CARD SRVS'..any idea what this translates as, and if it's claimable?

Thanks if anyone has an answer.

Hi Billicks, it could be a number of things:

Do you have a credit card that you pay with funds from this account?

If not do you have a solo/maestro card on this account?

If you do have a credit card it is probably the money they are taking for payments for the card, if not then it could be when you used the debit card and there was not enough to cover it.

Hi achtunglady, cheers for your quick response!

I think you may be right on your first call of the credit card repayments. I've since noticed the 'DD' next to it so this suggests that it is indeed this.

Your second point is interesting though as I'm sure there'll be instances of this. Will refused Switch card transaction charges come up as 'Charges' or is there another sneaky way that they slip them onto your statement?

    Really appreciate your help, thanks.

This is a standard response. Move on to the next step by sending a letter before action.

See the step by step guide and the second letter template at the top of this page.
