Stick to all of your original timescales until resolution, the 'looking in to it' letter is to stall you.
Answers to other questions - always send recorded as you have proof of delivery and this sets the countdown for 14 days.
I sent my first correspondence to my local branch, then other replies to the Leeds address as per the letter head.
The telephone number I have for Leeds is - 08456 028 0060 -
Has everone who claimed from HSBC sent it to there own branch address or sent it to the head office!!!!!
Also i have two accounts with them totalling £3600 in charges should i group them together or send seperate letter sfor each one?
If you send any letters to your local branch, they will forward it onto the correct department (it may not be dealt with at head office). One claim for both accounts is fine.

Go by your own timetable. If you gave them 14 days in the letter, and it is past this time. Send the next letter. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Afternoon campers
can nominate for the most useless branch of hsbc?
As per my previous posts
i sent my first letter asking for my hard earned charges back on the 29th of Dec
the royal mail tried to deliver it on the 3rd of jan at 11:01there was no one available to sign for it, The postman left them a card. it got returned back to the delivery office (as of today its still at the post office)!
So on the 9th of jan i Hand derived a copy of my first letter and got the chap behind the counter to signs me a compliment note saying that they had received my letter.
Guess what i phoned them today and ................they say they have not recvied either of my letters. I now have the freephone fax number to fax a copy to the office in leeds.
Question?
after i have faxed the copy of the first letter to them, should i post off my second letter giving them 7 days until i start with the court straight away? Maybe fax this one too .
After all its not my c o c k up . its theirs.0 -

He would have recieved the letter Monday... any ideas how long the wait is until you get a letter back or an offer?
Also does anyone have a contact number for this Leeds address?
Seems daft, them asking you for a breakdown - After all, they're the ones who charged you, they should know what they charged you for!0 -
Thats what I thought!
I rang the SQT in Leeds today they received my breakdown on Monday and they can see them scanned into the system.
She couldnt tell me exactly how long it would take though to get an "offer"0 -

I received a letter from Colin Langdale to say he was investigating into my claim but this letter was dated a week after i had put my claim on line
HSBC have said they are going to put in a defence but have not done yet
They have to next tuesday to do so
However there are people who are getting offers alot earlier:j 221 hours & 32 mins clocked up on wii fit since 8th August0 -
Well for me it took just over two weeks from when I posted my Prelim letter to getting a offer £400 less than I'm claiming. Am i going to accept the offer, not sure but the only thing i do know is that HSBC, as well as other banks seem to be making offers nearer the claimed amount to reduce the number of court claims.0
