Sorry if this has already been covered but I'm still finding my way around this forum. Does anyone know how long banks have to respond to your claim. I put my claim in to HSBC on the 22nd May and I received an acknowledgement letter about a week later, but nothing since. Should I chase it up now?

    Hi ya:j

By my calculations you have waited 7wks so you need to just give them a gentle nudge now to remind them that you have waited 7wks and would like to know when you can expect a mutually agreeable offer. I would do this through your email service with your online banking with hsbc you generally get a response back in a day. If they say they are still looking into it just e mail them again every couple of days til they have told you an offer is in post. how much are you claiming?

Morning Lou and Trace, Morning Everyone!

I agree totally with you two and think that I really will self combust sometime today  This waiting is killing me!! I'm really hoping my money will go in overnight tonight but what's killing me the most is know that they have until Friday to pay me  ! I think they have damn well made us wait long enough already and they just have to keep us hanging on that little bit longer. I know we should think ourselves lucky that it is on the way but come on, how long does it really take them to transfer money into our accounts? Not the full 14 days I'm sure!!!

I'm struggling to concentrate at work today  , my mind keeps drifting.......

    Hi Sam

You have lost it :rotfl: i know what you mean though, im waiting for you to get yours so i can start my calculations for when my money goes in
Why don t you ring them and see if they can shed any light on the matter tell them you are sitting upto midnight every nigh to see if it goes in. They will probably think you are a complete headcase:rotfl: but they might take pity on you afterall we have all said that the majority of staff that we ve spoken to have been helpful.

    Hi Katie

Do you have access to online banking? It would be far quicker for you to view your statments online and add up the charges that way. You could probably have your claim in the post before they send the statements to you!!
