    ive reclaimed 4,200 in charges from HSBC. They have been good at liasing via the online messaging service, but just keep saying its being dealt with and that they have 8 weeks to respond to my claim. I had given them 14 days on the claim letter i sent them, so whose right them or me!! Do they have 8 weeks or 14 days, as its now over a month??

    thanks

    thanks

    They have 8 weeks under the Financial Ombudsman regulations

    BUT if you are taking it to court you stick to your time table and get it in on the 14th day :rotfl:
    Got It & Spent It :dance:
    IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)
    MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)
    I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)
    CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)
    BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)
    On Hold :mad:
    A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)
    BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)
    BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)
    ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)

    Got to agree with Lou on this. If you take them to court now you'll be at the back of the queue and the way things are you prob would of heard from the bank before your even allocated a court date. Please read back through this thread first before you do anything. So many people have gone down the court route and have regretted it as its taken longer. If you want the interest then you have no choice but to go through small claims though

    Hi

    Give them a ring on the 7 week mark and then follow up with a an email via my messages in the online banking, you should receive an offer in the post before the 8 week mark. They will then pay out (if you agree to the offer) within 14 days. Result!!

    Sam x
    Thanks Tillybella. I have my fingers crossed and will give HSBC a "friendly" reminder on the 7th week.
    Congratulations to everyone else who has a success story. To those undertaking action - GOOD LUCK :)

    Ha ha, I haven't cut and run just yet. Want to see how those who were claiming at the same time as me get on, and give a little friendly advise, that doesn't always follow the the "take them to court, get the pitchforks!" lol

    I think people should hear all the options and base their decisions on that

    I think your going to have to wait one more day Sam. Mind you it was 1am when I checked and it was in, but you were a couple of days behind me. Fingers crossed your not waiting long. I've had a great day paying bills, ha ha. Prob the only time I've ever liked it. Usually its just after i've taken a loan out, and the excitment is short lived as soon as my repayments start, but at least I know none of this is going back to the bank!

    No money this morning either, not that I was really expecting it. They received my signed acceptance on Friday 6th so I'm only one day behind you John, so by my calculations I really should have had my money today!! Lets keep our fingers crossed that it is definitely overnight tonight.:j
