I had the same issue with HSBC, they finally got back to me after 24 days, and I got my letter today saying they are settling for £1450 which is less than I asked due to them not including the interest I asked for, but I am still so pleased and feel victorious!!! They have said if I accept they will credit my account in 14 days!! Just in time for the Summer, beautifulness!!0

Hi Gary
I was wondering the same thing. I received my offer today and sent it back by special delivery (cost £4.30  ) to ensure they will receive it tomorrow before 1pm. I really need my money sooner rather than later too so I'm hoping it wont take the full 14 days!!
I think I read a post a while back where someone had got their money after 5 days but whether that is the norm or a one off I dont know.
Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Gary, Tillybella,
My gf's friend claimed from HSBC, sent her acceptance letter back and got it around the 5 day mark. I was always told by HSBC that it takes 5 working days to do a transfer, but I suppose you have to take into account postage and when it gets opened etc. Lets face it most letters for original requests get loaded onto HSBC's system around 4-5days after they receive them, prob due to the amount they get every day. I doubt ringing them will make any difference (prob just make it go to the back of the queue tbh). I sent mine back yesterday, and could really do with the money asap as its the gf's birthday on Sunday, so fingers crossed we are looked on favourably and get our money quicklyWage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0 -

Rusty - there is no consistency in their payments. HSBC settled my first claim in 24 hours...
anyway, this claim is to let you guys know that my long battle with my second HSBC claim settled today, 5 days before court date. I send a nudge - a court bundle even though it wasn't required. This helped with my other claim too.
So, the moral is - get a bundle in asap...Lou0 -
Please help Lou, what do I need in the court pack?
I've my hearing on 7th August and need to get court pack sent 2 weeks before.
