Hi,
I have taken HSBC to court for 910+interest of 100. With the court costs - this equalled 1130. HSBC have counter offered with 820 - some 300 pounds short of my request - and in reality some 200 pounds short of where I would like to be (not really bothered about the interest).
What are your thoughts and personal experience??? Should I accept, should I counter offer or continue court action?
Many thanks.0 -

TAKING HALIFAX TO COURT SO WISH ME LUCK . ANGIE0 -
I got a letter today telling me that the case had been transfered to my local court - no need to do an allocation questionnaire. I phoned the court and they said I will get a letter from them in the next week but should I do anything in the meantime? It seems taht some people are sending a copy of the charges to DG solicitors - will this give them a bit of a kick to make them realise I am serious? Not sure what to do now....help please!0

Also, is this the right thing to do?
I am writing with regards your letter of 22nd June, 2007 in which you are offering a settlement payment of £2788.66 in respect the above case for reclamation of penalty charges passed during the passed 6 years.
<O:p</O:p
The amount you have offered represents less than 60% of the total amount owed.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
I find the stated settlement figure to be unacceptable and that the matter should proceed to Court.<O:p</O:p
Any suggestions/ideas/comments?We missed out on the reclaim of nearly £5000 bank charges from HSBC, but picked up over £10000 in PPI claims against them instead. I am now debt free and working to help my other half clear hers0 -
Personally, after having taken the trouble to take them to court and incur costs in the process, I wouldn't settle for anything less than the full amount plus interest plus court costs. But that is just me.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
