Omg You Still Waitng Since Feb??? I Been Looking Out For Postie For Two Weeks!!!lol. Tried Looking Online At Hsbc And Whereas They Used To Let You Go Back Years Looking At Statements On Line They Now Say You Cant Go Back Further Than A Month Or So. Crafty

    Hi Cookiewillow

You can view the last 6 years statemens online. Once you log in to a specific account, on the left hand menu it will list 'my statements', click on that and you will be able to view all your statements, click 'next set' to see older ones. I sent my letter requesting statements to HSBC on 17 May but decided in the meantime to go online and calculate the charges myself, therefore had my claim submitted by 7 June. Good job too cuz the statements didnt turn up until 25 June!! You can save yourself some time by doing it online, it can be a long task but can be worth it to get ahead with your claim.

    Good luck

Finally claim done & dusted! Thanks MSE and everyone for your help and advice. My advice....just keep on going, they will pay in the end!

    Claimed £1300
    Received £1300

Got court date for July but they paid up 1 week before. Took 5 months in total including rejecting offer of £800 back in May! Was starting to get a bit worried about going to court but after handing my court bundle in, received full settlement letter in post few days later.

You can reject this offer if you are unhappy with it.

I'm unsure how Nationwide are dealing with things but Natwest automatically add the extra charges incurred onto the final figure.

If your unsuccessful when you call them you could send another letter stating that you are unhappy with this offer and that you will either fight for the full amount or settle for a figure a bit closer to what you are looking for.
Give them 14 days to respond and if they don't move onto the next stage.

The step 4 template should help you with this.

Good Luck, sounds like your halfway there.

CLYDESDALE FINANCIAL SERVICES Amount Claimed £85.00 Amount Received £42.50

My claim is 7 weeks old today! Called Service Quality Team and waited just 10 mins to be answered. Spoke to a nice lady who said that my claim file was still open and therefore still in the queue to be finalised. She said claims are taking to the end of the 8th week to be resolved and said I should hear something in 7-10 days, if not to ring back. Said made a note on my file that I called for an update and said that any further charges that have been applied to my account since my claim will be taken into account.

I will phone again next Monday and hope to hear them say that my offer letter is in the post!!

This is nail biting stuff now...............

I received my offer letter for reclaiming my bank charges at the beginning of the week – of which I sent back accepting. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
However the next day going through my accounts I have realized they have charged me another £75on the 24th of this month and there is due to be another £150 charge on the 24th of next month – however the offer they sent me was only up to and including charges up to the 17th of this month. <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
So what I’m wondering is can I actually claim the recent £75 and £150 charges even after I have accepted an offer prior to these charges made?
    <o:p> </o:p>
    I hope this makes sense.<o:p></o:p>
    Hi Masie,

I had the samething happen this month, if you send them an e-message through internet banking stating that this is a new charge, they`ll will add it on.
I emailed them on Thursday to say so and a nice lady Heidi said she would add it to my claim.
    Try and do that!

I started the process back in February and last week I took the final stage of starting the small claims process. My claim is for £326 (£296 plus interest), which isn't the biggest claim in the world but to me is a lot of money.

Two days ago I received a letter from HSBC saying they would offer me a settlement of £295 to cover the charges but would not pay the interest. Had I not paid £50 to start the small claims procedure I would have accepted but I'm annoyed that I only paid this £50 out last week and am really tempted to hold out for the interest plus costs back (if I should win of course!).

I have 14 days to let them know what I want to do. What do you think I should do?

    Hi Cuba Cat,
That is exactly what happened with me! I went through the usual route of letters etc.. and the day after I paid £80.00 to mcol I received an offer of payment but I have decided to carry on with the claim but they have put in a defence and I am now waiting to hear form the court.

    HI Angie

Have a look at pg 174 garysumpter, this happened to him about a week ago, he telephoned them.

I did notice that he has posted on the bank success forum a couple of days ago to say he has now received offer letter, so hopefully they should still stick to the eight weeks from the date of your original letter.

good luck let us know how you get on
