Just sent an email through e-messaging on internet banking regarding my claim for £2778, its only been 4 weeks since my initial letter bu just wanted them to know im still here and im waiting!
Since my initial letter they`ve added a furthur £75 on in bank charges they havn`t even notified me by letter / telephone call / pigeon.
So i wrote to them saying i was also adding this on to my claim making a total of £2853 excluding interest.
Hopefully i`ll get a response it states on the messages that they aim to respond within 2 working days.
Good Luck to all that are claiming.

Hi folks
Having received £1200 1 week after sending in court bundle to HSBC, I'm now hanging on for my £3200 claim on another HSBC account. I have a directions hearing on 13th July and wonder if anyone has gone to one of these. It's too early to prepare a bundle, I anticipate the judge may give time to negotiate between us, but would be grateful if anyone's had experience with HSBC and directions hearings?

Hi all, I've an ongoing calim against the HSBC and I have requested judgement by default which was rejected as the HSBC had put in a last minute defence. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to receive the court date, papers etc? I've been waiting ove r3 weeks now and haven't heard anything at all.
Cheers in advance x0 -

Hi Manc
Most people, including myself, have sent our claims direct to:
HSBC Bank PLC<O:p</O:p
Service Quality Team<O:p</O:p
Arlington Business Centre<O:p</O:p
<ST1:p<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comMillshaw Park Lane</ST1:p<O:p</O:p
<ST1:pLEEDS
LS11 OPP<O:p</O:p
The branches seem to pass them on to there anyway so you can save some time sending it direct.
Good luck!

Hi All,
This is now my third time in reclaiming bank charges. My first claim was successful in getting £200 back from nationwide. Last week I got just under £1000 back for my wife from HSBC, I was quite surprised that they settled before the case was filled on moneyclaim, it was a few hundred short of what she could have got but I feel in the present climate it was wise to accept.
Now my claim is for £4900 from HSBC. I am slightly worried this time as I did run my account extremely badly which resulted in HSBC closing my account and passing the debt onto Intrum Jusitia. I have an agreement of paying £100 back on a monthly basis.
I could have filled my claim on moneyclaim around 3 weeks ago but I thought I would give them a couple of extra weeks just in case they were going to make an offer, my last contact with HSBC was a letter threatening action if they did not pay back within 14 days, I did also say under "without prejudice" that if they were to pay me £3800 within the 14 days I would accept, basically I was willing to drop the interest.
Anyway I filled online on Sunday and just checked online and see they have acknowledged which means they have a further 28 days.
Anyway does anyone have any advice on getting it settled before court proceedings, I am willing to accept less if they make an offer within this 28 days, and now once I get their document I am thinking of writing to their legal team....is this advisable or still best to write to HSBC themselves....also if someone could point me to a template letter which could be used in this sort of situation I would be most grateful.
I will update this thread as things change..
cheers

Hi Lou,
I have been waiting 3 weeks since MCOL passed my claim to my local court, and when I rang my court, they told me that they too are doing a directions hearing. Don't know anything about it, but I got the impression the court were just so sick of the banks wasting time that the judge will give set time to sort it out without hearing. Is this the same as a block hearing that ive heard about? Confused or what??? I'm not going to budge an inch, I'm sitting it out til bitter end now i've come this far! lol!

Yesterday, I received a letter from HSBC in which they (along with a lot of blurb) are offering a settlement, up to the date of the letter to the tune of £2700 (just over half the original claim) ... I have every intention of rejecting this amount and going full course to claim the full amount.
In the letter there's a form to return, should I wish to accept their (so-called) "generous" offer and they make a statement along the lines of "if we haven't heard anything in 8 weeks we will assume the matter finished".
I have submitted court papers and would have thought that the letter is of no real concern and that any reply I make would be considered as a matter of 'politeness' and general cooperation in the proceedings of the case.
Could someone advise what the correct step would be in rejecting the offer?
Should I write to HSBC telling them "no" ?
Should I copy the court on that letter ?
Thanks in advance. We missed out on the reclaim of nearly £5000 bank charges from HSBC, but picked up over £10000 in PPI claims against them instead. I am now debt free and working to help my other half clear hers0
