Ring the service centre in Leeds on 08456028006. Be prepared for a wait on hold though. Usually takes around 25min to get through, best time seems to be around 4pm. Defo not lunch time!

I am in the same position as you. phoned DG Solicitors and got a recorded message that said to contact the court. I contacted the court, they told me that they had a hearing date for me, and the letter was in the post. also they said that if the defence wants to know anything, they will ask for it through the court. Hope this helps.

Guess all i need to do now is get all the details together and go to court on the day and hope they don't turn up. Or hopefully they will settle before hand!

    cheers

They have actually added on your new charges without writing to you. Thats excellent. from what i have read on the success forum in the last few days with the recent payouts being paid out on the eight week mark they appear to have started to catch up. Just another one of my theories, whick im sure someone will let me know is wrong again (lol)

I'm now playing the waiting game.

I've received a court date for the 23rd July at West London County Court. I sent my court bundle to DG Solicitors and to the court about 3 or 4 weeks ago now.

I've still not recevied an offer or had any further correspondence from DG.

Has anyone else been in this position? Are they likely to go all the way to court with this?

I am in exactly the same position quinlad. My court date is 7th August. The local Court Judge requested that both I and DG Solicitors serve the bundle to the Court and to EACH OTHER by 11 June 2007. however, despite me doing just this, I have heard NOTHING from D&G. I have emailed them recently (at the weekend) and still no reply. Just hanging in there!

They will have entered you into their complaints procedure and they are allowed 8 weeks total to reply to you. If you wish to use the ombudmsman to resolve the issue you must allow this time. Writing a letter and asking for a reply will probably elicit a response along the lines of the information I have just given.

If you wish to follow the court route then you dont have to allow them this time and need merely to show the court you have given them ample oppertunity to respond to and deal with your complaint. 14 days is reasonable and especially considering that they have dealt with and settled thousands of cases of this nature in the recent past. They really should have a system in place by now, one would think !

You can allow 14 days from the date of your letter and then proceed to the next step as laid out in the main article. This would be your LBA (Letter Before Action).

    Good luck :)

    Thanks so much twinkly:

If I decide to wait the full 8 weeks and they decline my claim, Do I still have the option to go to court/financial obdsuman then and then send my letter before action?

Its now been 25 working days since my letter-20 working days since I replied to their letter asking me for a breakdown in charges. And still nothing!

What would be your recommendation? Do you think if I write with my LBA I will get a reply or they will speeed up the process of my claim?

    Thanks again !!
  • Hi,

I have two claims ongoing with HSBC the first is for my own account I have written and posted all the letters from this site to the bank and then used MCOL to take them to court this has worked out fine they have offered to pay me all the monies and the interest including another £100 that was incurred after I filled the claim.

My problem is with my joint account it's with the same bank and the claim was done at the same time only they are not offering all our money back I asked for £672 including charges and they have offered my £635 including the £25 charge incurred since the claim was filled, Thats £62 less than I should get back I don't want to accept this as I will also lose out on my MCOL charge.

How do I go about getting that money do I just not accept the offer and carry on with the court proceedings?
