Just thought i'd join in and let you know i spoke to a very nice lady today who informed me that there was a discrepancy with ''jan 05'' there figure differs from mine, she couldnt tell me whether it was in their favour or mine but that because of this it now has to be sent to ''a.n. other'' to check. she did however tell me that i will get an offer in the next 10 days and it is usually between 10 and 15% less then the claim. I am going to give them the 10 days from tomorrow and if no response then i will go to next stage as 10 - 15% less than what i am asking for is completely acceptable to me as i wrote this money off some time ago so anything is a bonus.

I'm in the early stages of all this- have sent letters to HSBC for my 6 years of statements. However, some people have mentioned you can get this on your internet banking to save the wait.

But my internet banking- the regular Personal banking- will only give me the option to view statements up to around 4 weeks ago. How do I go about finding the last 6 years??

Any help would be gratefully received!

They have actually added on your new charges without writing to you. Thats excellent. from what i have read on the success forum in the last few days with the recent payouts being paid out on the eight week mark they appear to have started to catch up. Just another one of my theories, whick im sure someone will let me know is wrong again (lol)

    Lou,

The lady that replied to my e banking messages said she would have them added to my claim, whether she does or not, time will tell. I did speak to someone in Leeds today who asked if I was after an update on my claim (i'm guessing thats pretty much all they are doing in Leeds). I was told they had put my letter on the system on the 10th May (I sent it the 3rd), so my 8 weeks would be up 5th July. I asked if all letters where now being sent out on the last day of 8 weeks and was told "pretty much so". Another week to hold on yet.

Hi I had the same problem as you, when you log onto your internet banking on the left hand side there is a heading called 'My Transactions' which has subtitles of the likes of 'My Transactions, 'My Statements', 'Account Details', etc click on MY STATEMENTS and you can view all six years from there you will need to click on previous / next sets to go through the full six years. Hope this helps.

    Thanks so much twinkly:

If I decide to wait the full 8 weeks and they decline my claim, Do I still have the option to go to court/financial obdsuman then and then send my letter before action?

Its now been 25 working days since my letter-20 working days since I replied to their letter asking me for a breakdown in charges. And still nothing!

What would be your recommendation? Do you think if I write with my LBA I will get a reply or they will speeed up the process of my claim?

    Thanks again !!

Give them a ring on the number quoted above by joncow75 and ask them what stage they are at with your particular claim and see what they say.

You can send off the LBA at any time now though if you want.

I need to complete a Case Management Information Sheet for the Mercantile Courts in Leeds. The sheet is very ambiguous and I'm struggling to complete it. Can anybody help please?

    Hiya,
I just got my letter offer on Monday for a grand total of £1,725.50. After asking for £1,813.59. So i am very happy with the offer. :j :T
It took 8 weeks exactly to come through - i was told twice that the offer letter had been sent out to me and i hadn't recieved it - So a very helpful man at HSBC faxed it over to me in the end and i also recieved the letter in the post the next day.
My question is for those of you that have accepted the offer - Some people have mentioned that it takes 1 weeks for the money to hit your account - where as HSBC has stated that they do not pay the money in untill the two week period - and not before.
Can anyone help me with this?
    Thanks

  • Just need to spread the joy folks. Started the process about three months ago. Only got round to sending the letter threatening court action last week and within seven days have recieved an offer of a refund of all charges (without interest).

Total £1546.67 claimed, now offered £1312.20 in final settlement. No hassle, no argument. I feel lucky. Off down the pub to celebrate this affy now.

A big thanks to all those who have helped by answering my queeries and I hope this success story acts as encouragement for other folks.
