    Hi,

As far as im aware they are making every one wait the eight weeks from last letter (did you give them that or stick to the two week time scale) i would definately ring them and see what they say if you ve not gone down the court route they will speak to you and let you know how much longer the phone number is 08456 028006 be prepared to wait in queue though for ages (for some reason they seem to be very busy):rotfl:

good luck let me know how you get on when you speak to them

    lou .

    Hi there

Just thought i let you know that i have just been paid out last week by HSBC. They made me wait from 8 weeks of recieving my first letter asking for my money. I accepted their offer as i could not afford to take them to court, they paid me out exactly 10 weeks and 1 day. You after give them fourteen days from when they recieve your offer letter.

My advice give them a ring see when they recieved your letter, then give them about 7 weeks then start emailing and phoning them, if you telephone around 4.30 it seems less busy and your not put on hold for half an hour

Hiya im wondering if anyone has had the same or similar happen to them as is happening to us with hsbc . Today (wednesday) is the 10th week since we sent them our claim letter , my hubby phoned them and was told they had sent it to another department and that they did look at the claim yesterday . Were not happy with this because we got a letter today saying they will get back to us by the 14th of July and that will take our claim to about 14 weeks from when we asked for our money back . We dont know what to do now as they said there is no phone number to phone this other department and we really can do without the stress of going to court . We may be phoning the ombudsman though at the end of the week . But has this happened to anyone else ?

Further to my post end of last week....

Got an offer letter for one of my bank accounts with HSBC on Tuesday. I was claiming £462. They offered £487! NNNIIIIIICCEEE! HAve sent off the acceptance. That was 8 weeks and 1 day since I sent my original letter. :T

Lets hope they get their backsides in gear and get the other letter out to me for my other account with them - thats worth over £1800! Will be ringing them today if it doesnt come through.

Traceppp - am thinking of you and hope you get your letter soon! Keep me updated!

Just got through - Traceppp - am in the same situation as you now!

My other bank account letter was sent the same day as the offer one I received (11th June). I got that one the next day (12th)

Seems Royal mail might be messing us around with letters going walkies around different post sorting centres or something...

    Will keep you "posted"..... (sorry!)

    Helsboof;)

I asked the lady just now if she could tell me how much the offer was for...she said all she could tell me was that the letter was sent out on 11th June. It doesnt tell her anything else...

    Bummer
