hello this only my 2nd post (im an observer regularly though)
sent off for my charges 4th april totalling £4324 with interest added for 2 accounts. i decided not to go down the route of going straight for the jugular if they didn't respond within the 14 days that martin quoted on here & allowed them the 8 weeks they say it will take in their standardised response, partly because i can't really be bothered with court packs etc.
anyway recieved my offer letter beginning of week (exactly 8 weeks from date they say they recieved it. the offer is £ 3100 which im going to accept because at the end of the day i have to take some responsibility for the fact that so many payments didnt go through. however i have a question - which address do i send the acceptance letter to is it the service management letter address on the bottom of the letter in leeds?
id like to take this opportunity to thank martin for inspiring me to actually go through with this though £3k for writing a letter aint bad is it :j0 -
Hello
When responding to DG's request for a breakdown of charges, do I enclose the exact figures as detailed in my MCOL? Or should I update the spreadsheet with the interest accrued up to the present date?
I presume it's the MCOL figures that should be sent, as otherwise the POC information I'm sending would also need to be updated, however I just wanted to check this out with you wise board members before posting!
I've had a look, but can't find an answer to my question on the forum. My apologies if this has already been answered.
Thank you!0 -
Got home from work today, couldn't get in beacuse of all the post. Most of it was from HSBC. I have only got statments from December 2003. Can you go back till 2001?
Thats right isn't it?

Hi
We received our date for a preliminary hearing in August, do we need to start the mountain of photocopying yet? Or would you think it gets sorted before the date?? If it gets that far do we need the court bundle for the prelim hearing?

Hiya,
I'm sure there's an answer to this question on here somewhere but I've yet to find it!
Can anybody tell me if they've had success with an early offer from HSBC?
I sent my second letter 7 days ago offering to settle without starting court action for a reduced figure. My original claim was for approx £2640 each on two accounts including interest, I offered to settle for £2000 on each account.
Am I wasting my time? They've got another week to respond (no reply to my last letter as yet  ) is it too early to call them? If I should call them, what's the best number? (I sent my first letter to my branch and second letter to Leeds address).
Many thanks in advance for any help and advice!0 -

hi everyone im sooooooo happy to be sharing this news with you all.i honestly never thought i would be posting on this thread, as i always thought i was going to be one of the few that was turned down.anyway heres the story:
I started claiming in march, sent my first letter off on the 22nd.
sent 2nd letter 14 days letter, received letter to say they were investigating but ignored it and carried on i started my claim on mcol on 30th april.
hsbc acknowledged and defended on the 28 may a few days before my 28 days were up.
at this stage i started panicking like mad about court.
i received my notice of transfer from the court and really didnt want to end up there, so i phoned dg solicitors last friday and spoke to lovely man who advised me to send a breakdown of my charges as they wont look at your claim till they have received this when it has been taken this far.
i sent it off monday a\nd received this offer today.
im so so happy and want to thank martin, everyone who replied to my posts and everyone else for soothing me when i got worried by posting so i could read them :T :rotfl:  :j :money:0 -
Hi,
Wondering if anyone has a basic letter I can use to DG Solicitors giving them a last chance to pay up before I send the bundle to court for my date in August?
Thanks, S0 -

Hi,
As far as im aware they are making every one wait the eight weeks from last letter (did you give them that or stick to the two week time scale) i would definately ring them and see what they say if you ve not gone down the court route they will speak to you and let you know how much longer the phone number is 08456 028006 be prepared to wait in queue though for ages (for some reason they seem to be very busy):rotfl:
good luck let me know how you get on when you speak to them

Thanks for that! I'm off on Friday - what better way to spend your day off then waiting in a phone queue? It'll be worth it though if I get my money back! Thanks for the advice, good luck with your claim too, I'll let you know how I get on!0
