Hi guys. My 8 weeks are just about up, and I have been ringing the 0845 number on the standard (we are looking into your complaint) letter. However, I never get through to anyone. I am on hold for about 30-45 minutes before I get annoyed and hang up. I tried this at various times of the day (including after 4.30pm like one post has suggested) but still no luck.
Has anyone else had the same problem?
They also dont reply to emails, and the message service via internet banking just gives a standard reply, but no details.
Any advice would be appreciated on this! I am quite confident they will send something out (like the other people have posted on here), but would like to speak to someone to ensure they are still on the case (and they might tell me if an offer is due out to me soon).
Thanks in advance0 -
Hiya. I've recently had an email reply after I asked them to acknowledge receipt of my claim, it took 6 days and only said 'it has been passed to the relevant area', but it's a start! I emailed 'servicequality@hsbc.com'. I have also been trying to phone on 08456 028006, no luck as yet, havent had time to hold on too long but i'm going to try again now.
Fingers crossed!:rotfl:0 -

Claiming £9922
My 8 weeks is up today! Just phoned, as I have done every day this week, everyday they have told me it's being passed on to their Supervisors, nothing on the system at the moment, today we apologise for the wait, blah blah blah  This is so maddening, didn't give me more than 8 weeks before they took my money!! I did ask if I could speak to a supervisor about this, but said no as they were working on all claims. Anyone know of a different number to call or can i speak to someone about this? I think it's MCOL here I come!Self Combust Society Member  :rotfl:0 -
I can guarantee you that they will last it out as long as possible. I started the whole process against First Direct (part of HSBC) on 14th February. My MCOL was issued about 6 weeks ago, acknowledged with intention to defend and then transferred to my local court (Swansea). At the beginning of this week I got notification that the claim was being transferred to Cardiff. After all this time, I still don't have a court date and have never been contacted either by HSBC or DG Solicitors to offer a settlement.
I'm dug in and sticking to my guns. But just to warn you that it can take a very long time !!
I have a pre-trial review in Cardiff for my 2 claims against HSBC. I like you have never recieved any sort of settlement, my claims were issued 5th April...seems liike so long ago.
Your claim will probably be heard on August 14th aswell, apparently someone who spoke to Cardiff Court was told that they are processing the claims in batches of 400!!

I've just rang 08456 028006 and only had to wait for a few minutes before I got through to an operator. Spoke to a very helpful lady who confirmed that my claims were logged on the system, one on 14/5 and one on 6/6. She asked that I resend the schedule of charges on the one dated 14/5 and would ensure that the claim would remain from this date and wouldn't go from receiving the new schedule. I asked what would happen now and she said basically they are resolving all cases in or before 8 weeks. She told me that they would not pay interest and I asked if I could get this if I went down the court route. She said she wasnt sure as once court proceedings are started they no longer deal and it is passed to their solicitors. She told me if I hadn't heard anything about by a few days before the 8 week deadline that I should ring back and they would check to see if a letter had been sent out. She said it was all likely to be resolved within the 8 weeks.
I am going to stick to the 8 week rule and not go down the court route, I would find it too stressful with all the paperwork!
Feeling really positive now that I know my claims are logged and I have actually had some reassurance that it will be sorted.
Roll on 9th July and 1st August!! :j0 -
Hi, Im really hoping someone can help me.
Im trying to help my Dad claim his charges back from his business account with HSBC, i've requested the details of the charges and they have sent the last 6 years of statements. However, im confused as on the statements it just says;
'Total charges' and then a debit of a fluctuating figure each month of about £50 (but not exact, normally something like £61.37, for example) - so Im confused as to whether these are charges ones that can be claimed back or not?
It also shows some charges that do make sense such as the odd 'Unauthorised overdraft' charge of perhaps £35 which is a round figure that i was expecting.
All in all the 'Total charges' come to about an average of £700 a year.
Its just the 'Total charges' that is confusing as he dosent know what they are for either.
I would appreciate any help greatly,

i have just had a call back from the lovely man at dg solicitors. and i told him that im waiting to hear from my local court as hsbc has defended and i want to settle etc . he advised that i should send him a list of my charges so they can start the process, as they dont look at anyones claims till they have had this info as theres so many.
he was lovely and really but me at ease as i was so nervous about phoning.
after the conversation i really feel for the first time that im getting somewhere and feel really positive:o !!!!!0 -
hi Tillybella
Just sent you a private message then saw you had posted on here. Bet you were well surprised when they answered. Well done. Think we are around same time to hear back, beginning of July. Lets hope we get money through at same time. Think the eight week wait suits us best, i really coundn t cope with the stress of court, but if they don t apy up on the eighth week then that is what i shall threaten them with.
keep smiling

hi Tracepppp
Maybe you could ring them back and politely say that you have been very patient and waited the 8wks and that if you don t have letter in the post in next few days you will be taking them to court where you will then be entitled to the interest and they will then also have court costs to pay on top. Read a few times on here people have done that and they speeded it up and successfully got money through ALSO THEY HAVE TO REPLY WITHIN EIGHT WEEKS FROM START OR YOU CAN REPORT THEM.
HOPE THIS HELPS
