    Hi Marklar

Is it possible they have included the debit interest in with the total charge, the interest is usually a random amount like £14.64 or something!? You are right in saying that total charges usually are a round figure but can be anywhere between £18 and £125. If you register for online banking you will be able to see statements for the last 6 years. I know mine were listed as the charge and interest seperate. Maybe in the info they have sent you they have added the two together? Just a thought. :undecided

    Thanks for your reply Tillybella.

The information I have are statements and the charge just appears as one and no details as to what its for. Not sure what to do apart from ask the bank?

    Hi Everryone

Was just wondering how long people have had to wait after acepting an offer made by HSBC's solicotros D+G. I received the offer yesterday off all my chrages back and sent off the signed agreement yesterday and was just wondering how long it normaly takes them to give the money back. And do they out the money back in the HSBC account ?

    Thanks

You are probably best off speaking to the bank and asking them. As far as I am aware you can't claim for debit interest so if that is included in the amounts then it wont reflect the true amount of your claim.

I hope you get on ok.

    hi Tracepppp

Maybe you could ring them back and politely say that you have been very patient and waited the 8wks and that if you don t have letter in the post in next few days you will be taking them to court where you will then be entitled to the interest and they will then also have court costs to pay on top. Read a few times on here people have done that and they speeded it up and successfully got money through ALSO THEY HAVE TO REPLY WITHIN EIGHT WEEKS FROM START OR YOU CAN REPORT THEM.

    HOPE THIS HELPS

    LOU X

Thanks Lou, think I should call myself Desperate Trace!! This is doing my head in! Just come off the phone and the girl there said it's under investigation and i should be receiving an offer letter within 7-14 days, but to be honest i don't know whether to believe her of not, as had letter in the post today, thanking me for my patience (  ) and still investigating. I can't afford to go to Court yet for a couple of weeks, so I wait some more, but i won't let this drop, too much to lose!

YEY! Finally I get through - after waiting nearly 25 minutes! Its only taken me a week!

Spoke to a nice lady who did the usual "8 weeks thing" and said they did log my letters for both my hsbc accounts on 16th April, so my 8 weeks is up next week (w/b 11th june).

She said that I should receive my letters next week, but "as we are so close to the 8 week deadline" she is going to pass my details to her supervisor to ensure that I get my letters/offers by the end of next week and that if I dont receive them to call them straight back to get an update.

Will wait and see, and keep you posted!

Well done helsboof, that's good news! I'm hopeful that both my claims will be settled within the 8 week period so I'm on the edge of my seat wondering how yours will turn out!!

Let us know the minute you hear anything!:j

i have received a partial offer from hsbc ( i am claiming £3100 inc interest but they have offered £1918)
i want to reject this offer but am open to negotiation, would i be better phoning the service quality team or to write a letter rejecting the offer?
Also can i go to my local branch to discuss the claim?
