Offer Received: £2101.11
I am really happy with that:T , I received a letter from DG Solicitors yesterday and can't wait until Tuesday to send off my acceptance letter. Also it saved me the trouble of getting together my court bundle, I was half way through but dreading it. My court hearing wasn't until August so I'm glad I dealt with DG over the phone and via fax, I think it helped to speed things along.
Many thanks to Martin and all the guys on this thread, without all thae info being posted I wouldn't have had a chance of getting this money back. I'm thrilled.

One letter and seven weeks later......
Offer Received: £293
Just by coincidence an offer for a claim I'd sent off for my brother came through today. Just waiting for a joint account claim for him and his partner to come through and we'll all be celebrating.
Good luck to all still waiting0 -
Hi all was wondering if sum1 could advise me woth the following issue.
I received an offer from the bank which i am declining
they have given me a reason as to why they wont pay some of the charges so what im thinking of doing is sending a new breakdown of charges excluding the charges which they say they dont pay
i just wanted to make sure that the exclusions that they are reffering to are valid things that i cant claim back or if they just dont want to pay them back so here they are.
they write: yr breakdown in charges includes an amount of £50 on 18 nov.this amount has been deducted because it is a reversal charge that we do not refund.(is this right?)
Also they write we have deducted charges totalling £58 from your claim as these have previously been refunded to your account(but i have been through my statement a thousand times and cant see where they have been refunded.
do you think i should still persue with these to charges or should i remove them from my breakdown. All help would be appreciated.0 -

Hi all i'm in the process of reclaiming bank charges from HSBC. This month however i received my statement and it had a charge for Arrangement Fees.
Is this there way of rewording there charges to try and avoid people reclaiming ? and is it possible to add this charge to the existing claim ?. Hope you understand my wording !! lol and thanks for any help.
I dont even think HSBC now what is an arrangement fee. I deposited a cheque for £14,000 on the tuesday and when I checked the ATM on the friday it said balance available and showed it had cleared so I drew on it. The next month I had a £100 arrangement fee. When I queried it, at first they claimed they had bounced 4 direct debits and it was the cost of that, err I dont have 4 direct debits on that account so then they changed their story to I had drew on an uncleared cheque which wasnt true either. They refused point blank to refund it.
I was absolutely livid and thats when I found out about these charges and instead of keeping me sweet for £100 I'm now claiming over £2k :wall:0 -

1) Who do I need to ring, is it the service quality team who's number is on the letter from Mr Langdale
32) What do I say?0 -

27.04.07 - Telephone court to find out progress. They told me that the bank had not returned their AQ. They should have done within 28 days.
17.05.07 - Telephoned court again. They still had not received AQ from Bank  . Claim would be put before the judge without bank paperwork.
26.05.07 - Letter received from the court as follows, dated 25th May
'Before DISTRICT JUDGE MILLWARD sitting at Maidstone County Court.
Upon the Courts own motion. The Court has made this order of its own initiative without a hearing. If you object to the order, you must make an application to have it set aside, varied or stayed within 7 days of receiving it.
IT IS ORDERED THAT
Unless the defendant do file a completed Allocation Questionnaire on or before 01 June2007 the Defence do be struck out and the Claimant do be at liberty to enter Judgement.'
Dated 18th May 2007
Do I leave it till next Friday or do I contact the court and say 'Please, Mr. Judge, but I think the bank have had long enough to file their defence. I had to return my AQ within 28 days, so why let the bank get away with it.
One part of me wants to leave it and hope the bank leave it too late, and one part of me wants to kick a~*s.
I am going to leave it till next Friday 01.06.07 and see what happens by then.
Question: If, by then, I have not heard anything, do I contact the court direct to enter judgement? If so, do I, phone, write or would it be better to call there in person?
Really would like your input here folksMany thanks in advance

Hey People,
I've only just put in a claim on the 16th May and recieved the "we are looking into your case" reply letter on the 22nd May.
After reading some of your posts on here I'm hopeful of getting most of my money here.
Certainly nice to know I'm not the only one!
Good luck to everyone who still has a case outstanding.

Hi,
I've been going through my husbands paperwork from HSBC, he had 1 personal account, 1 c/card and 2 business accounts [2 seperate businesses].
I can find account numbers for all of the accounts except 1 of the business accounts. They were all closed about 2005 so I would like to act quickly.
Does anyone know how I can get this information i.e. account number, or can we write a letter requesting charge details just by giving the name of the business?
