Hi all i'm in the process of reclaiming bank charges from HSBC. This month however i received my statement and it had a charge for Arrangement Fees.
Is this there way of rewording there charges to try and avoid people reclaiming ? and is it possible to add this charge to the existing claim ?. Hope you understand my wording !! lol and thanks for any help.

thanx 4 the advice but i did not make my claim online.
i went down to local county court because i was entitled to my costs being paid 4 me . does this make a difference.
if i make a judgement by default claim does this mean i have won and will egt the money

Yes it is, and the OFT specifically told them not to do things like this.
Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.

The best thing to do is phone up your local county court on the 29th, explain that they have not entered a defence and see what they say.

Hey all. I have sent HSBC the first of Martin's letters giving them 40 days to supply details of all my charges over the last 6 years. Is this 40 days inc weekends and bank holidays or 40 working days? Thanks.x

It's 40 calender days - so includes weekends.

Well done Louloujs, I was waiting to see how your case went as I am slightly behind you, I have a court date for 15/06/07.
I have had a letter from DG solicitors 03/05/07 to ask for breakdown of charges, I duly sent them off! I received another letter 23rd saying that if I did not comply they would obtain a court order to make me send them!!!!
I was a bit loth to do so but I faxed them today.
The cheek of them!! I have provided the information 3 times now, and as they are employed by HSBC, I dont see why I have to!

Anyway I am soooooo pleased for you Louloujs, you have been mybiggest inspiration on this site and I would probably have jacked it in if it hadn't been for your A1 advice!!!!!!!!
    Well done again!!!!!!

Thank you so much - i was wondering how you were doing. Still waiting for money to come through but I know it will. On my other claim with HSBC I was asked for the same information as you which I sent off with a letter complaining that they'd already had this info 3 times. Waiting to hear what they'll do. I really feel that once they know you're committed to seeing it through the courts etc, they will pay out. One down, one to go for me with HSBC. So now we're both at the same stage again. Let's see what they say with our further breakdown...
