    Hi!

I have been posting on here saying that HSBC had promised me an offer letter by next week, however I have now received a letter saying
"...I regret to advise you that my enquiries into the circumstances surrounding your complaint are still incomplete. As part of this investigation I am reviewing the bank charges and will be aiming to provide you with a response by 11th June 2007. Please accept my apologies for the delay and thank you for your continued patience.
If you are not satisfied please contact the Financial Ombudsman etc etc ......"

This letter is signed by Mark Loker - Service Manager - first time I've had a response from him, all previous letters have come from Colin Langdale in Quality Office.

they have now had 8 and half weeks to respond and I am furious!!!!
I intend to call them first thing tomorrow morning to 'chat' about this response, but was wondering if anyone else had had a similar letter to this and what the result was if any?
Also anyone have a number for Mark Loker I can use?

    Cheers

That's a load of coswallop as usual from HSBC Ellie. You set the timetable, not them. I would put my claim in if I were you! :D

I have received a letter offering settlement of £506 of £611 and have replied accepting. HSBC have stated they will transfer money to my account in 14days, however this will be after the 28days on my MCOL against them. Should i cancel it or wait till HSBC have made payment??

  • Hello, me again

I just wanted to add to my earlier question re: my court bundle. When I send over my schedule and the interest is added should I send the original schedule with the interest that was calculated back in Feb, or do I re-calculate so the interest is up to now?? Obviously if I do the interest up to now then the figure will be different to the one I claimed for online, does this matter??

All getting a bit confusing now.

ps haven't heard from D G Solicitors yet for my proposal to settle out of court.

Many thanks for any response x

Got off the phone with HSBC this morining and I will recieve an offer letter by the end of the week as my 8 weeks are up. Counting from the first letter I sent which the post office say they lost thats correct, I would take that up with the post office but I dont really want stamps!

So heres fingers crossed for a good offer but one note to all, always ask for interest, whats the worst they can do...say no? Print your statements off on line, much qicker and cheaper, and, der der der de. derrr. dererererererer, CALL HSBC IN LEEDS AT 9AM! Thats when they open and I was waiting for only 10min! And the lady who answered said it was her 1st call on the day! :T

I can bearly contain my excitement. Foot to the floor back home everyday from work to get to the post! :money:

I applied for and received 6 years of statements and requested payment of £186, HSBC replied saying usual stuff that they were unable to refund any charges so wrote and threatened the courts etc, had another reply saying theve credited £93 to my account, should i write and say not accepting or will accept as part of payment or just go stright to MCOL stage ? Thanks in advance

Have you tried getting them off their website, I only found this out yesterday (from reading this thread) but all your statements are online if you log on to HSBC's website, from what I remember it doesn't take to long to register for internet banking.

Well done, I hope it's a good offer!!

I wish I'd have waited the 8 weeks now, I probably would have had an offer at the beginning of this month. As it is I probably won't get one til just before my court date in Aug!

Finger crossed that yours is a good one x
