Yes, and all other corrispondance. Once your next 2 weeks are up call them on 08456028006 to check progress. They will tell you they have 8 weeks to respond. Then its up to you if you want to wait or go through court but from what I can tell it takes longer then 8 weeks for court action and HSBC are getting the claims done by 5-8 weeks, so, again its up to you. ;-)The will to save every money saving penny we can0

I just ran a credit check on HSBC. They've had a lot of County Court Judgements against them in the past 2/3 months. All for amounts between £80 and £6000 from courts all over the country. Looks like they are defending and losing a lot!0

I bet my 2 caims were part of that, why defend if ur not actually going to defend, grrrrrrrrrr :mad:0

Hi Everyone,
I'm in the process of claiming my bank charges from HSBC i have sent letter 1 which i received 6 years of bank statements.I sent Letter 2 for return of charges calculated i have had a letter from bank stating they are investigating matter they replayed in 8 days did they reply by 14 days of receive letter deadline. Also i had to take a loan out with bank to cover charges a few years ago i got into a bit of trouble with loan then the bank put me on to a managed loan at bank i pay £31.00 a month back but the interest a month is £27.00 does anyone know of a similar situation can i claim back interest charges as it was for bank charges that they put me on a managed loan i think it's unfair!!!!0 -
I have only sent one letter to HSBC stating all my charges to date and requested the money back. 8 weeks or so later I have received a letter from them offering to repay every penny plus an extra 20 quid I have been charged since the letter!!
Never thought it would be so easy! Our dream has come true...

I just wish I could speak to someone to follow up my claim!
Everytime I try 08456028006 I just get put in a queue and that HSBC music loop - I give up after ten minutes. Do I have to hang on longer or is there a secret I should know!!

My secret for phoning HSBC is phone at 8am as soon as the lines open!! That way you get straight through to someone rather than queuing!!Our dream has come true...

Was the loan purely to cover charges ? Every single penny of it went on charges ? If so reclaim all your charges and I advise to go as far as court in order to reclaim the interest too. I would claim back every single penny possible in this situation. Once you have obtained court judgement in your favour on the issuee of unlawful charges I advise to make a full complaint to the Financial Ombudsman at being forced to take a loan to pay unlawful charges. Even if you reclaim the charges you will still be effectively paying them plus a whack of interest on top if you are forced to pay this loan. There has to be something deeply wrong and unethical about that and I am hoping that the FO has a way to deal with it. Either way it bears investigation.
I dont know what can be done but I would let the Ombudsman worry about that. Best of luck.
