Hi,
I have just received back the standard letter from colin telling me they are looking into my claim, did you send letter 2 threatening court action?
I'm not in the position to file the court proceedings and im prepared to wait the 8 weeks ...just want to know do i send the #2 letter
Hello mate,
As soon as I got the first letter from HSBC saying they were looking into the problem, (the standard letter everyone gets) I sent letter 2.
I then waited until the 8 weeks were up then chased them up. It took 3 phone calls in 2 day's to get my response, they tried fobbing me off twice before I got a response.
They will wait the 8 weeks before making an offer, and if you try chasing them up before the 8 weeks they will just advise you to give them the 8 weeks time frame.
Incidently I got my letter from them in the post today confirming the offer and I have sent my acceptance off.
have to wait 14 days now for the money!0 -

5) List for hearing on FIRST OPEN DATE in block list
6) You must inform the court if the claim is settled by agreement before the hearing date.

HELP ...... Firstly i havent got a clue what it means in section (2 a) - do i now supply the solicitors for HSBC with my statements or spread sheet even though they havent asked for it? What else should i be giving them it says signed statements containing evidence? Section (2b) Copies of all documents i intend to rely on? What do i send ? Section (4) Does this mean i should get a solicitor and inform the court that they will now be representing me?Section (5) What does this mean? Do i have to apply for the first open date for court and if so how?
Sorry for all the questions but i have no idea what i should do and realy need all of your help.

Hi All
Inspired by the many success stories on here I sent my first letter to HSBC 2 weeks ago asking for charges back. Had the standard reply from Colin Langdale (is he a real person??) Just about to send the second threatening court action. Is it best to send that letter to my branch or to Colin Langdale?
Thanks0 -
I got my standard reply to the first letter from HSBC***S about 2 weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to reply yet. Someone told me in this forum that they are paying up after about 8 weeks anyway.
Question... Do I still need to go ahead and post the next letter threatening court action or is it now better to wait it out for the 8 weeks?

Send the second letter to the quality service team in leeds then w8 your 8 weeks from the second letter. If you sent the first letter to branch then make sure the 2nd goes to leeds as I have read of people calling leeds after 8 weeks only to be told that their original letter never made it to them. The will to save every money saving penny we can0 -
I have added my bank charges up but i am a bit confused, a friend told me she has claimed for TOTAL CHARGES (which i have) but also for the INTEREST that appears on HSBC statement, usualy on the same day as total charges.
Does anyone know if you can claim these back?
Also in the last few statements i have been charged for NOTIFIED FEES/CHARGES, upto £125 a go, can you claim back these charges?
Thankyou for any reply.0 -
i was told that if the last day falls on a sunday that they have the monday aswell to defendCan anyone help please ?
I started court procedings on 19/04
Deemed to be served 22/04
Notified of Acknowledgement of service on 26/04 to defend all the claim.
the way I understand it now, they have 28 days from 22/04 (sunday)? to submit a defence. I make that 20/05 (again a sunday). If no defence has been submitted to the court by then, on Monday 21st I can ask for judgement.
Is that correct ?
Please help , I don't want to get it wrong.
Thank
