Just a few questions,
This 8 weeks they say to settle, is this from the first letter asking for the statements or from when you ask for your money back?
Which phone number doesnt put you on hold for hours, tried ringing one twice, gave up after half an hour.
Does anyone know the email address, as my account was closed last year, i cant email thro the internet banking.
I sent letter requesting statements 29 Jan
Sent first letter for refund 22 Feb
Sent LBA to PO Box in Leeds 19 March
Now their time is up, but had to pay for car repairs and now cant afford to go thro with the court, so trying to estimate a response time and try to get them to settle soon. Im claiming for £1420 without interest (£1790 with interest), all my letters have included the interest, so hopefully get them to settle without the interest.0 -

I'd be inclined to call them on it. Write to the branch and explain that the charges on the statement you DO have are missing and could they double check their records and send you the correct information and not the fiction they have sent so far.Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

Hi
Try this telephone number 08456028006. This is for the claims team. I spoke to a young lady last Thursday after holding for about ten minutes, she was very helpful and told me that all claims should be settled within the 8 weeks timescale that had been recommend to them, she also told me that claims are from when they are put on their system. I was also advised to post any further corrospondance to the HSBC Bank Plc, service quality team, Arlington business Centre, Millshaw, Parklane, Leeds LS11 0PP, because it would take longer if you went through your local branch as they have to then forward it to the team in Leeds. Don't know how true this is thou!!!!![/B]wednesday1867 wrote: »Just a few questions,

Just filed my online claim for just over £4500 (including interest and MCOL fee), very scary pressing that "submit" button!
Am in the process of dealing with business acount too, but am a bit lost as it's not clear what was charged for running the account and what was charged for going over the overdraft limit. Any pointers?
Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back after filing MCOL?
Here's hoping!

Hiya,
Just wondering if anyone can help...
I filed with MCOL and HSBC have until April 22nd to file a defence or acknowledge the claim...
I am thinking of emailing HSBC saying I would accept a reasonable offer but I don't know if this is allowed now I have a court claim in process...
Would it make a difference emailing them or should I just wait the 28 days *if they acknowledge).... maybe I am just been a tad impatient :rolleyes:Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I'm filling for £1150 worth of bank charges after 7 weeks and a number of phones call HSBC have finally made me an offer of £899. Question would it be wise to accept this offer or should I push for the full 1150???0

If I were you I would ring up (saves weeks...) and ask what they've based their offer figure on. Remember that there is still time for negotiation. You need to have a figure in mind that you are prepared to settle for. If you're happy to accept a lesser sum, suggest that you meet in the middle - they can only say no and then you can mention that you are going to proceed with court action when interest and court costs will be added.
This is really down to what you're prepared to settle for and whether you're happy to go on for longer to get the figure you claimed...Lou0
