Don't want to be funny, but you ARE seeing the HSBC statements. Just online. Which actually saves you £10 because you can do it yourself. You will have to look through them carefully anyway, whether you download them or the bank sends them to you.0

Can I just ask is there a cut off for reclaiming bank charges - i.e. actions must be started before the end of this tax year or anything like that?Play up Pompey!0

I too have sent in a letter trying to claim back my bank charges
The letter I sent was a little different to the standard one as I included a complaint in the letter.
Strangly they answered the complaint first if you can call it that they just sent a reply with the same as what I put in my letter saying that I will hear about the charges later.
I sent my letter on the 8th March and got the original complaint letter on 16th March.
I have now received the same letter on 21st March from Colin Langdale as everyone has received with no timescales either.
Should I now issue the second letter or wait?0 -
Naughtybonbon that letter from Colin Langdale is completely standard so I would send the second letter off straight away if I were you
I had a pleasant suprise in the post yesterday
After being patient with them myself after the first letter from Colin Langdale and also the second, I booked my court over a week ago which the bank acknowledged, but they made me an offer yesterday of
£765 on a claim of £851
£670 on a claim of £774
which I am pretty chuffed with to say the least - half of me wants to carry on and get my court fee and interest back, but not sure I can be bothered any more......
Has anyone else received an offer which they have rejected to carry on with the court proceedings?0 -
I sent my letter on the 12th of March, as of yesterdays post I had still recieved no reply. I sent the letter to my local branch by recorded mail BUT I now cant find the recorded delivery slip (the stupid bit:o ). I was planning to sent the court warning letter on Monday to Leeds and this time treat the slip as rocking horse poo. Should I go ahead with this or should I call the local branch or leeds to check if they got the letter? The will to save every money saving penny we can0

P.S if you are worried about going to court or need details about yourr court use this link
http://www.netlawman.co.uk/county-courts.php
It will give you the name, address and telephone number of your local court. Plus give you a helpful rundown of what happens once you get to court at the bottom of the page!
Kinda takes all the suspence and mystery out of it.

Hi, I sent off letter and sheet of charges on the 12th March - as yet no reply. I am going to get my LBA sorted now ready. Reading through it, it says to insert the court - which court would I have to put?:
Thanks:0 -

Hi Hun ..
I Missed Out That Name Of Court Bit .. I Just Put I Think The Court Will Rule In My Favour (Or Whatever It Says) ..
Different People Said Different Things So I Thought It Best To Just Leave It Out To Be On The Safe Side!! x0 -
Natalieee - don't give up hope you! We've been chasing HSBC for roughly the same time. I'm waiting for AQ etc to come through now as apparently they're defending. Hope an offer is on its way soon...
Don't worry about the OFT ruling, it is not likely to affect us - especially if you get to the MCOL stage first.
Now put down that hankie and get another letter off. Having said that if the 8 weeks is almost up, you might find you get close to what you want - if not, ring again and if they won't negotiate you'll have to send a LBA.
Keep with the programme...
Hiya Hun .. Thanks For That!! I Thought Id Try And Ring Again Yesterday To See If i Could Speak To A NICER Person And I Did (Sort Of), She Wasnt As Harsh & Said A Letter Had Been Sent To Me On The 21st March But Sometimes It Takes A Few Days To Leave The Building (Very Strange...How Big Can The Building Be??!! Ha) .. So Im Just Waiting Now ..
I Have A Feeling Its Just A Letter Saying Blah Blah We Have 8 Weeks We Will Get Back To You By The Blah Of April .. Because I Havnt Had One Of Those Yet!!
But You Never No.. Fingers CrossedTBH I Would Accept Anything They Want To Offer Now (Within Reason!) Im Sick Of The Whole Process..
Good Luck With Your Claim Hun...I Hope You Get Everthing Youve Asked For Back PLUS Court Fees N Interest!!!xx
