Could someone please give some feed back on what HSBC are like when they get issued the papers for court action? Im so fed up with there stalling tactics that i rang them today and was told a letter saying they are looking into it will be with me tomorrow. However being one step ahead i have already sent the lba letter which was signed for this morning. However im with a companu called pay plan who are dealing with my debts and im worried that if i take HSBC to court (and believe me nothing short of that is gonna get any sort of response out of then at the moment) im worried that this will effect the other arrangemets i ahve with pay plan. None of my other debt is with HSBC apart from my overdrat so i assume i should be ok?
Feed back please...... im practicing my crying tactics (BUT givent that the customer srvie advisor i spoke to earlier clearly didnt give a rats bottom, im not sure that will have any effect, she just requested i bear with them, I SAID SEE YOU IN COURT!). Im soo very p***ed off and a little worried about the court side of things, can any one tell me how it went for them?
Thanks

I headed the 2nd letter with my branch address, but posted it to the Leeds address which wrote to me. I forgot I posted it on a Sunday (D'oh!) so they won't get it until tomorrow. I just used Martins template - There is a 'delete as appropriate' bit - I chose the unsatisfactory response bit. We'll see what Saturday brings - does anyone else always get there financial mail on a Saturday when you can do nothing about it until the Monday!!!???Gimme back my bank charges!!!!!0 -
Hello folks. I am in the court process, 1 week to go before the 28 days is up, today i recieved an offer of exactly halve of what i am claiming.I am not prepared to accept this and am happy to goto court on the day.
I have just checked my MCOL account and find that my judgement has been HALTED.....what the hell does that mean and what do i do next ?0 -
Hi,
Sorry, i know loads of people have already asked this but i have scoured the thread and cant find an answer.
has anyone fully proceeded with court proceedings and won or have they served notice on HSBC and had HSBC cough up before the court date or something similar?
im helping my BF reclaim his charges and HSBC are being a total nightmare and am really worried about taking them to court i dont want to be liable for anything if we lose!! EEK
thanks for sharing, if it wasnt for reading these threads i would never have got this far!0 -
:Hello, me again! Right ive sent third letter to HSBC, having had a response to the second letter saying oh dear, we will investigate and get back in touch. But ive now had a return letter saying, 'i refer to my earlier letter in which i said i would invistigate, i am still conducting said invesigations and will be in touch by the 4th April'. Firstly I am feeling most irratated as i think they are hoping im going to give up and go away, but secondly im worried that there is something significant about the date of the 4th April, that i dont know about (other than tax year stuff) and that they are going to get away with not coughing up! What do I do???? Is there another letter i can send to stop them delaying? Should i start the court process rolling which i thought was last resort stuff and could they say im being unreasonable not giving them time to invistigate my complaint? HELP! Getting dispondant and angry now!
Hi
Just go for it and file with MCOL. Having read loads of the threads it seems as if many people have experienced some delay tactic or other. I filed my MCOL yesterday and it did feel a bit scarey but then there's an awful lot of support on this site and remember it's the banks that are in the wrong not you.
Good luck0 -

Can anyone help i have claimed £4461.00 from hsbc and had a letter today offering £3500 to accept within 10 working days.
Do i call them and ask for full amount threating court action or send a letter or start MCOL.

Can anyone help! I'm freaking a little at the moment. I've filed an on-line claim with HSBC and they acknowledged that they were going to defend it. The deadline was today and they have submitted a defence. I've spoken to the courts and HSBC's defence has been sent to me through the post (I haven't got it yet). My local crown court will be setting a date.
Should I be worried! What happens next? Has this happened to anyone else?Lightbulb moment - October 2005
Debt at highest - £97,000
Debt now (15/06/07) - £83,908.47 (still  but every little helps!)
Debtfree Date - 2015 (but working on it)!
2007 Comp Challenge - £360/£0 (I have no luck with winning!)0 -
