I sent my first letter to my branch. I received a letter just over a week later from 'Service Quality Team, PO Box 205 Leeds LS11 1BJ' telling me "...will contact you with a full response as soon as I have completed my investigations". It is now over 2 weeks since I sent my first letter and I have just sent off my 2nd letter (as per Martins templates) telling them to get a move on!
    Gimme back my bank charges!!!!!

Did you send the 2nd letter (step 4) to to the Leeds address or to the branch, also did you mention receiving their letter.

I'm going to send the letter from step 4 to get my £100 back. On the template it asks me to insert the name of the court, is there a list of local courts available, what type of court would it have to be?

Just leave this info out, it is irrelevant for the letter. Once you file a claim it will say Northampton Court by default, and if a court date has to be set, it will automatically be referred to your local court.

    Hi
I haven't had a reply to my 7 day letter so i decided to try and ring them before the mcol bit. Spent an hour on hold, has anyone else had this? I thought i'd give it a go first.

    Hi
Same thing happened to me, my deadline was Friday also and i spent an hour on hold. Perhaps it's another delay and there's really no-one there. Anyway now i've read yours i'm going down to the court tomorrow, i'm going to try and claim exemption, either that or pay mcol out of my HSBC account, which i no longer use.

The Number I Used To Ring Refuse To Take Calls Now .. They Are Puttin You Thru Somewhere Else..

But I Have Heard Rumours That The Place They Are Puttin You Through Is Actually A `pooling` And You Will Never Get Through To Anyway As Its Like A Dead Line, They Just Play The Hold Music Constantly ..

I Believe This As I Spent 3 Hours On Hold On Friday .. And I Do Not Think It Takes That Long..however Many Calls They Have!!

    So Beware When Ringing Them!!

Ive Had Enough Me, Im Filing Mcol On Monday, B******* X

Filed my mcol just now. The only problem i had was fitting the text in 'particulars of claim' section, you are only allowed 24 lines and something like 1080 charachters. I used Martins template and just deleted a sentense. I used my disused HSBC account to pay, although it will make the account overdrawn it will be within the agreed limit and i can fill in the exemption retrospectively.
Can anyone tell me what happens now time frames etc?
  • Hi all,

I have got a list of all my charges already, so which address do I need to send this letter to? Is it my local branch?

I have tried a search, but HSBC brings up sooo many threads.

    Thanks.
