    Hi,

I have wrote a letter to HSBC about a month ago, just saying you owe me approx £100.00 - they wrote back saying you need to brake this down.

So i did, and with interest they owe me £1250.00.

I have wrote them a letter saying if they dont respond by tomorrow (09.03.07) I will be taking them to court.

Can anybody confirm I am writing to the correct address (The Manager, Service Quality Team, HSBC Bank plc, Arlington Business Centre, Millshaw Park Lane, Leeds, LS11 0PP) - I have also sent all letters by e-mail to (servicequality@hsbc.com)

Have I left it long enough to take it to court - It has been 1 month since the first letter went in.

    Thanks a lot

    Stuart Kirk

Thats is the correct address for all further correspondance, and the address you will need to file with MCOL. The sensible advice seems to be to stick to your own timetable, and dont let the bank and their solicitors dictate the pace of your claim. Good luck!

Send your first letter to your branch, and you should hear back direct from Leeds. All further correspondance then goes to Leeds.

    Help please.

I have challenged HSBC for my bank charges over the last 6 years. I have received my statements, worked out the interest and sent the letter requesting £2508.92 giving 14 days to respond. They responded on the 10th day and said they would investigate and respond. This is over the 14 days, (which was 28th February) how long do i leave it before i challenge again and threaten court action?

    Thanks for your help

    Richard

Richard - send your 7 day letter before action letter out as soon as your 14 days are up. Stick with YOUR timescales. They are slow with their 'investigating claim' replies... Lou

Has anyone got the HSBC's Leeds address to hand?
I am about to send my next letter to them (deadline tomorrow) as I got no response to the letter asking for my bank charges to be refunded (plus interest). I'm getting really scared now..reclainming about £4500!
    Thanks in advance.

DON'T LET THEM DELAY YOU - you won't be able to reclaim the full amount once the general ruling has been made (about a month?)

I don't think that is the correct address to file with MCOL. It is fine to send your letters to the leeds address but when you file with MCOL, HSBC's registered address is

    HSBC BANK PLC
    8 CANADA SQUARE
    LONDON
    E14 5HQ

    Is that for definite?

I only ask as I have a claim going at the moment with the Abbey , which has now reached the "acknowledgement of service" stage and I was thinking about taking on the Natwest . If speed is of the essence to reclaim the full charges, then I will proceed , but I would rather have one under my belt , than to have two running at the same time IYSWIM.
