Interest - No (Although some people have claimed some interest back)
Charges - Yes if they are in the list in the sticky

  • I dont want to jepordise my 1.6k OD and risk becoming under the thumb of debt collectors and hence worsening my financial situation rather than enhancing it. Oh I also had a store card that I incrued a couple of hundred pounds on a couple of years back. Im thinking its best I get onto them straight away with the data request letter.

Stace, a single £10 will cover all Data a single organisation holds about you. So just £10 will do for one bank and multi accounts.
  • hi, just a quick question. on making a claim, who is it to be made against?
i've got the address from the other posts, but is there a particular title or person it should be address to?
    thanks

    I got 3 charges of £30 when i went withdrawn. They were £0.06, £1.45 and £10.00 respectively.

    i know truly amazing

Phoned up and managed to get the £0.06 levied but the other two I ws told had nothing to do with them. This was over 5 years ago. I do not know if I shud go to the bother to get my £60 back with interests. But think about the endless cycle of letters, £10 to get past invoices.

im just glad i was never abused in other ways and for the rest of my life will not be done so since i came to this incredible site.

i think ill just bite my lip and hope to see ppl receiving their hundred or thousands back.

  • Simon hi.

Be prepared for them both to be closed. I was with Royal Bank of Scotland Had a personal & business account with them and they've been making my life a misery by taking anything that went into either account as charges, all raised by their actions in the first place (but that's another story) They wrote and said if I didn't pay them the £700+ they had banged on to my business account as charges they would close the account. I'd been asking them to do that for weeks so that was okay by me.

What they didn't tell me was they would also close my personal account into which was paid money for my rent, electricity gas etc. I didn't find out until cheques and DDs started coming back unpaid. I'm suing them for that as well as my charges plus a lot of other stuff (again a different story) so be aware that banks will close down any other accounts you may have with them and they aren't always gonna tell you before they do it.

I struggled to get another account with a different bank so I would suggest you open one somewhere else before you start.

    Good luck with the claim
