Hi
I'm new to the board but i have to say thank god it's here, it's egging me on.
I sent off for my stmts from HSBC last month and received them after 21 days (with my cheque returned). The same day i sent off a breakdown of all my charges with interest (£1400) and the template letter. Today (1 day early) i recieved the standard letter from Colin asking me for everything i had already sent. So now letter 3 is just about to go off with a duplicate of everything i've already sent. Thanx for the advice i won't update the interest at this point i'll wait for the next stage. Am now going to look at mortgage and credit card charges. Fingers crossed xxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Hi,
This is my first post, I'm about to start procedings with HSBC to reclaim my bank charges.
I'm not sure if I have to write to HSBC's H/O or my branch to get my last 6 years of data. Does anybody have details of the address/department that I have to write to?
Secondly, I have considered reclaiming charges with my credit card, but am currently on a payment arrangement with them and don't pay interest - do you think it's worth it?
Thirdly - I'm slightly concerned at the OFT ruling due this month. I understand that it will force the banks to justify the amounts they charge us and that this in itself will take a while to calculate. My question is do yu think it's worth starting proceedings this late in the day?
Many thans in advance

I'm sorry to bug you but I'm reposting my post from last night as I haven't had a reply. Please can anyone help as I need to do my letter tonight.
Hi All - 1st post on this site. Sent my letter requesting refund of charges on 14 Feb. Due to send LBA tomorrow. Received the standard letter from Colin Langdale today saying they were looking into it. I will send the LBA anyway - should I post it to Colins office in Leeds?? Also should I give them 7 or 14 days before doing the court letter. The template letter on here says 7 days but the Consumer Action Group say 14 days. Would be glad to hear what other have done. Thanks0 -
hi, can anyone help, i recieved a reply from HSBC today refusing to refund my claim of £6060. Has anyone else recieved a refusal, and what do i do now ?
I am so annoyed, and dont know which way to go now ???:mad:0 -
Standard response, carry on with next stage - be aware that claims greater than £5000 will not be handled by a small claims court.0
