Its been 3 weeks so i called them and was told i may have to wait upto 8 weeks. Has anyone else had a letter like this..Do i wait for another 5 weeks...Or send out the 2nd threating them with court action.

  • Just a quick question regarding claiming from HSBC....

I have printed off my statements from the last 6 years via the online banking facility. I have prepared my letter to HSBC claiming the full amount and interest but am unsure where i send this stage letter to. Do i send it to my own branch or do i send it to the Data Protection address given elsewhere on this site.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

HSBC Seem To Be Using A System Similar To The One I Work With, They Use a Queing System To Send Letters And Offers Out...I Had It All Explained To Me Yesterday When I Rang..

They Gave Me An Exact Date When I Should Receive A Letter (Whether I Do Or Not Is Anyones Guess) BUT If You Want To Check On Your Progress Just Ring Them On This No. 0800 881 155 - They ARE Actually Quite Helpful!!

They Told Me 14th March Which Is 4 An Abit Weeks After My 1st Letter, Im Still Sending My LBA On Friday Though To Give Them A Kick :rotfl: x

Hi, after two successful claims against HBOS (total over £6000) I have just sent LBA to HSBC. I've been writing to Canada Square, London, but have just read earlier in this thread that this isn't correct.

Please can somebody confirm that the Canada Square address is correct for all letters to HSBC.

    Many thanks

  • Does anyone know if this applies to Business bank account charges and is the process for reclaiming the same?

The 1st Two Letters You Should Send To Your Local Branch OR If You Receive Correspondence From HSBC Before You Send Your Second Letter You Could Send It Direct To The Claims Centre, The Address Would Be On The Letter.

But 1st Letter Send To Your Local Branch...If You Have Sent It To Canada Life Address Ring That Number In My Post Above To Check Its Been Received And Is Being Worked On  x

Natalieee - thanks for that, they are helpful on the phone.

They said i should have sent letters to:
    Service Quality Team
    HSBC Bank plc
    Arlington Business Centre
    Millshaw Park Lane
    Leeds LS11 OPP

They said they had nothing scanned in from me yet (sent first letter on 12th Feb). Think i'll have to send first letter again to Leeds. Bit of a bummer, cos those 14 days have just finished.

Or should I just send the second letter to Leeds? I did send the first by Recorded Delivery. Yes, I think I'll just send the 7 day LBA to Leeds today.

I recall with my HBOS claim I wrote to two different address until it went to Court -and they paid...

Thanks for your help with the phone number. Isn't it ironic that they seem to have a dedicated line to help with these queries?
