    Hi

I sent my letter requesting 6 years of statements to HSBC by recorded delivery

how long should i give them to send me the info before i phone and also do i just phone the general HSBC number ( where they are all so helpful NOT! ) or is there a special number i can phone ??

    thanks
  • They have 40 days to provide the information so you can't complain/push until near the end of those 40 days.
  • I have an account with HSBC and I have been with finantial problems from allready some time to here, I know they have charged for cheque returns and direct debits recalls around £25 other times £30 or 3 times in same day £10 even £60 and all months at 27 of each month £125 of notified charges and a few £ of interest cause been breached the overdraft limit, what can I ask back all the charges or .....
I really need some topic on this
    thanks

I started getting the most excruciatingly annoying calls from HSBC call centre in India.

Useless people with no reason to be calling. One day I received one and I decided to give the idiot a hard time.

he told me he's calling from HSBC and for security purposes needed me to answer some questions.

I simply stated that I refuse to give ANY personal security details over the phone and I dont know whether he is HSBC or not etc

he decided to argue, and relay partial information, insisting that I MUST answer - i replied that in NO circumstance will i ever give my details unless I made the phone call - I also stated that he didnt even sound from the UK thus all the more reasons not to disclose any information.

i then strictly TOLD the man that if HSBC wish to contact me they can write to me and I reiterated the fact that under NO circumstances will I ever disclose any personal security information.

i then proceeded to say "I dont know who you are, you could be anybody, a fraud or imposter, and can you kindly FU CK OFF!" I then hung up and they never called me again!

so to anyone who gets these annoying calls, simply give THEM a hard time - do NOT disclose any information, youre NOT obliged to, and by not doing so they cannot do anything to you!! and hang up if required - regardless of whether youve relayed info or spoken to someone in the past! my bloke tried to tell me that I've been called and spoken before - i replied by stating that that was a gross error on my part for giving personal information over the phone and I will not make the same mistake again!

State that IF they wish to talk, WRITE, as they say the same thing to you too!

where do I look for CITIBANK credit card claims?
  • The list of charges, dates and description of your charges form your defence and the bank will check against their records that you are claiming the correct charges so yes you have to provide this.
  • Ok thanks guys for feedback,

I have just contacted Beneficial Finance and they said becasue I have been a good customer over the last 7 years...they will do 3 years of my statements for free but charge me £5 per statement for the other years. This means they would charge £240 for 48 statements ?!?!?!? IS THIS RIGHT? This account I have with them is called a Personal Loan Plus account, anyone else have the same account?

Unbelieveable...any ideas. I realise I could potentially claim back charges owed to me but how much cost would I incur if all the banks i originally quoted demand the same amount? Any other options?

    Thanks.

Please see the article in the Step by step guide in my signature. It details the process you need to follow in order to get your charge information.
