Seems to me that Gas Safe 'run the registration of competent installers' for the Hse, but that Corgi still have a membership of engineers, and that Gas Safe is not the new name for corgi.... So, seems more than legitimate to me, if Hse and Companies House say so.
That was back in 2009 - and it doesn't say that Corgi is a business offering a service, only that it will "continue to promote good gas safety".0 -
Wow... all I said was 'and according to Companies House they still exist'.. I was just talking about Corgi, and didn't say that corgi homecare was limited. I do wish people would stop putting words in my mouth.
Back to the facts.
I rang Corgi (not homcare see earlier post) when it was mentioned to me earlier to be careful, they said that it was legitimate, and the same company.
It's only since then that people have been saying that they dont exist... surely this site is about getting the facts correct.
Please do reflect on the fact that i registered this month (yesterday in fact when I received the letter), but i didn't know being a newbie, and asking a question means what i have to say is not valid... hugely dispointed:(0 -

We are all trying to help you! If you check their terms and conditions you will see that they are actually called Green Installer Ltd
You must read the SMALL PRINT - they have so many get out clauses you are likely to be disappointed - that is why they are so cheap.....The best way to escape a problem is to solve it :j0 -
LOOK:-

Thanks 'Save4ArainyDay', was annoyed at the assertion from 'Little Voice' who seems not to look at all my posts!
I will call, and have made a call today to corgi, and am also checking around the web to make sure that, if I am buying into a name/brand, it's the name I think it is.
Have checked the IPO and it seems the name is owned:
Proprietor:CORGI Services Limited
Corgi Unit 1 Elmwood, Crockford Lane, Chineham Business Park, Chineham, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 8WG
and also that it is listed on their site: corgiservices.com
Appreciate your look into the t's&c's and will go through them with corgi when i call tomorrow.:)0 -

Thanks for finding the Green Installer Ltd reference in the T&C.
I see Companies House has "There are no UK Establishments associated with this company."0 -

Which of your nine posts do you think I have not looked at?
I will call, and have made a call today to corgi, and am also checking around the web to make sure that, if I am buying into a name/brand, it's the name I think it is.
So a number of us are suggesting that you may not be "buying into" a name brand which you think it is. If you just want to hear that they are absolutely wonderful and trustworthy and not hear anything that suggests they may not be as good as you think .....?0 -
LittleVoice wrote: »I see Companies House has "There are no UK Establishments associated with this company."
UK Establishments are described as:
The Companies Act 2006 contains one regime requiring an Oversea Company to register in Great Britain - UK Establishment Registration (formerly Branch Registration). Since 1 October 2009, Places of Business regimes no longer exist and are deemed UK Establishments.
You will note that 'Money Saving Expert, Virgin Group Ltd, B&Q and Nestle have no UK Establishments.....
hopefully once I have called, we can clear this up.!:D0 -
LittleVoice wrote: »May I reflect on the fact that you registered with MSE this month and your only posts have been about Corgi. What relationship do you have with this organisation?
Companies House does not say that Corgi Homecare exists. There is no limited company of that name and that is the only name which appears on the Corgi Homecare website.
That is just what I thought the posts seem to be promoting the company quite a lot0
