    Thanks for replying :)
It was after the 3rd letter... After a non-reply from the 2nd letter I sent the 3rd and that was what I got back!!
Just wondering what information I have to give to money claim... if I need to tell them the exact charges I have or just instruct them or what??
Do I need to do the money calculator again etc!!

    Hi,
IVE JUST WRITTEN MY 1ST LETTER TO THE A+L FOR DETAILS OF BANK CHARGES, IF YOU DONT MIND BUT HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FOR THEM TO REPLY TO YOU, I KNOW IT TAKES 40 DAYS SO I HAVE TO BE PATIENT, BUT DID YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS IN GETTING YOUR LARGE SUM OF MONEY, AS I KNOW I HAVE HAD LOTS OF CHARGES IN THE PAST , THANK YOU

    Hi and welcome
I asked for my statements in November, they arrived in early January over the 40 days, it took apprx 7 weeks from working out the charges they had applied, to recieving my cheque, good luck. It wasnt difficult at all, just follow Martins instructions, and you cant go wrong. I was worried about my claim being over 5K but it was straight forward.

lol fil, I am sure those pints were needed at the time.....
I hope they dont, that would be a very dirty tactic on there part, I might edge my bets and say we will both get a cheque on the 17th.. got everything crossed.
Fil if you are reading this I got my cheque yesterday, yours must be on its way.

I have started court proceeding against Alliance and Leicester...

Is it worth me writing a letter to A&L informing them that I have done this??
I was going to put "If you wish to settle this matter now and pay me the full £580 I have requested on numerous occasions then I will stop the court proceedings as soon as I have an offer to my satisfaction"
Is it wise to send this letter to them or just leave it to see what happens???

If you are filing through MoneyClaim you will need to update the interest charges again. Follow the instructions on this thread, in particular posts 6 and 11.

I got my statements back within 20 days. At the threatening court stage now.

Paid up 14/04/07 Full amount + interest + costs
  • Has anyone else had any trouble with them?

I'm getting screwed over big time by them. First with Paid item fees that take me over my overdraft, and then I get hit for another fine.

Also, their internet/phone banking facilities are behind. Therefore you can be overdrawn when its looks as though your not.

Do A&L tend to close down your account after paying up? My girlfriend got hit with 2x £25 charges (one for going overdrawn and one for a DD that went out whilst overdrawn) because she went a few pounds over her limit.

I am happy to fill out the paperwork for her to claim them back but should she have a parachute account standing by?
