    Hi all,

    got a questionaire through the post today from the court.
    I'm a bit lost with all of this really. Should I be contacting Wragge / writing to Alliance & Leicester and trying to negotiate or is it up to them to contact me ?

    If I eventually do have to go to court, what do I need to take with me what do I have to do....?

    How do I get access to the fighting fund and so on and so on....

    HELP !

    Cre8.

    You'll find plenty of help and support in this A&L thread from other users who are at the same stage.

    The guide to the AQ is in the Reclaim Help Thread, linked in my signature, along with lots of other useful information such as links to the Court Bundle should you have to go to court.

    Hi Everyone

    Since I have started to claim my charges back from A&L in April I have incurred more charges. When I take them to court does anybody know if I can claim for these charges as well.

    Appreciate any help. Thanks

    Write back to the bank, politely refusing it. Continue your claim.
    As advised I politely wrote A&L refusing their offer, and sat back awaiting their next letter .. and I didn't have too long to wait. Basically it was a bog standard printed draft "get stuffed you're getting nothing letter", quite hurtful as they were quick enough to take MY money from me, all I want is it back..
    Not sure where I stand here in Scotland as I am aware that the courts work differently, I have gone through all the template letters off this site now and am wondering is it the Sheriff Court now, or are better results being achieved by going through the Ombudsman..
    Their letter stated "The OFT has commented that they consider the level of late payment fees to be unfair, however, they were actually referring to late payment fees for credit card payments, which are quite distinct from a bank's fees on current accounts." it continues to tell me that they will review its current account charges after discussions with banks and OFT... and "I do not feel that you have been unfairly charged and regret that I cannot agree to refund your fees."...
    Why then did they try to placate me with the insulting offer of £66?
    I am getting to the end of my tether, and almost at a stage that I want to give up, I don't know anyone else having this much hassle.. obviously its the A & L..
    HELP... Any advice would be gratefully received..
  • Hi

    This is the first time I have posted a thread on the forum, although I am a huge fan of the site thanks MSE Martin!

    I have been in the process of claiming back my bank charges from Alliance and Leicester, eventually they have offered 66 a whole 700 less than what I was orginally claiming for! Should I press on with court preceedings or write back to A&L refusing first? I am assuming accepting is out of the question with such low offer?

    Please help anyone who has had experience of A&L being like this- Much appreciated!

    write back telling them you accept the payment only in part and without prejudice and that you will be continuing through court or FoS for the outstanding amount.

    Popped you into the A&L thread where you'll find a great support team all going through the same.

    If you've not processed the court claim yet, just add it on! :)

    If you have started you can still add it on by applying to the court to change the claim amount :)

    And just to clarify to all other who have past this stage and been paid out, YOU CAN CLAIM AGAIN! The charges are still unlawful, so get claiming ;)
    Got It & Spent It :dance:
    IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)
    MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)
    I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)
    CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)
    BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)
    On Hold :mad:
    A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)
    BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)
    BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)
    ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)

    If you haven't yet started court proceedings, you could accept it as partial payment, if you have started, you shouldn't. For such a small amount though, I'd be inclined to reject the lot and continue.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS
