Although no-one has reported a success as yet it would appear that you can reclaim charges on a loan account.0

I would not think that they can take house off you. I cant see a court allowing that just because your claiming money from them that is rightfully yours in the first place.
Hi, I notice you've asked for statements from Birmingham Midshires. Have you received them yet & if so do you understand them? I got mine back & they were full of excess fees & capitalisation fees. I have no idea what these are, i presume they are late payments charges, etc. I have rung the sender of the statements as invited to do on the letter that came with the statements but they haven't rung me back yet. Thanks,SUFC0 -
Like many people we have struggled now and then down the years to pay our mortgage. Our mortgage is with the Woolwich and they waste no time in hammering us with a £40 charge if our account is in arrears by a month, and of couse when you have arrears and are trying to pay a little extra each month to clear the debt they continue to charge that £40 each month.
I know that people have reclaimed money from Bank account charges but my quetion is this. Can i reclaim all these charges paid to the Woolwich for charges for being in arrears with my mortgage payments?
I have serched the web and can only find a few references to these charges, have people taken their Mortgage provider to task on these charges or is it a non starter. I do not want the cash in my hand but would want the charges and interest taken off my outstanding balance.
Many thanks in advance

Hi. Re reclaiming bank charges: Do the same rules apply to Credit Card Companies and Mortgage Companies. I remortgaged twice and their charges were very high if i missed a payment etc. Any thoughts.
Thanks in Advance

Hi Guys,
Have been going through my paperwork and I had a Personal Loan with Northern Rock which I finished paying off in October 2006. Prior to this Northern Rock absolutely hammered me with some charges. Am I allowed to claim these back. I've reclaimed charges from credit cards but not loan companies. Can this be done?0 -
Can I do this?
Do I use the same template for the initial letter?
Anybody had any success against mortgage companies?
If so, if my mortgage was with Northern Rock does anybody know the address to get the statements back.
Apologies if this has been posted before but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
