I also have GEmoney from a kwick fit account which I stupidly have paid over loads of years instead of paying off can I claim and what do I claim for from them?
I am going all out now, you know what they say in for a penny in for a pound. Well I am trying my mortgage company Northern Rock for admincosts they have offered £110 for the £160 I was charged and asked me to sign a disclaimer to say I would not ask for anything else. What else can I claim for?
I have late payment charges on this also £50 can I claim these as well?
I am hoping to pay my mortgage off and have an early repayment clause in this is there any way of getting out of it as it is for aprox £2000?

Does anyone know if you can follow the same process in regards to incurred mortgage charges?.

hi
i wonder if anyone can advise me. we have a virgin one account - our mortgage - and have suffered serious charges. has anyone been successful in reclaiming their charges from their virgin one account, as it is secured on the house i am a little hesitant to dive in!
thanks0 -
I know this sounds corny, but I'm asking this for someone else.....
My elderly aunt has recently come clean and admitted she's in arrears with her mortgage and I'm trying to help her out negotiating payment terms and I'm pleased to say the lender is being helpful and considerate of her predicament. However, upon looking through her paperwork, she has had in excess of £800 added to her account for 'unpaid direct debits' (£25 each time), 'administration charge' (£40 each time) and 'default notice charge'(£35 each time) plus a solicitors charge of £380.
Does any one know if the same principle applies to these charges as that of unlawful bank charges. I intend drafting a letter to send to the lender requesting a refund of the charges but would like to know in advance if there is any chance of them being reduced.
Many thanks for any info that you can give me.0 -
All can be reclaimed except the solicitors charges.0

Does anyone know if you can reclaim charges on a personal loan?
I recently had a personal unsecured loan with Paragon which is now paid off. They charged me £20 per phonecall and £20 per letter. I went on holiday a couple of years ago and returned home to 15 telephone messages and 3 letters, that is a lot of £20 charges:eek:
if you can is it the same process as reclaiming bank charges?!?!0 -
I would be very interested in a reply on the same subject. I had a loan which is now paid off with Melbourne Mortgages It was a secured loan. I have already written to them using the same bank charge letter template, amended to suit their company.
Anyone know if it will or should work to help me claim back default charges.0 -
Hi all,
Does anyone know whether the non payment of mortgage charge can be reclaimed. If it can are the temeplate for the bank charges still usable or should i use others.
thanks0 -
I have had several hundreds of pounds of charges for mortgage arrears letters at £35 each - surely the bank charge reclaim principle would apply, wouldn't they????0
