  • Good Morning All

Saturday at last :j didn't gave to work this morning, the company I contract to rang me yesterday with another change to my contract. I knew a few other people have had problems so decided enough is enough. Pity as I loved the job but not the company I worked for. Obviously the money was nice too but i must admit that I have been getting behind of my business stuff.

Plan is spend next few weeks catching up with everything then have a look around for something else.

Have had a very lazy start this morning,;) gonna make some bacon n eggs for everyone in a mo then will get on with the day. Will be concentrating mainly on washing and ironing today.

Have chicken breasts out for dinner tonight, a local restaurant does garlic chicken which is topped with bacon n cheese and am trying to recreate it at home today. Think will marinade the chicken in garlic olive oil then brown each side quickly, put cooked bacon on top then sprinkle with cheese & finish in the oven?

That's it for now, Cranky your mil is really losing out isn't she :(

    Hi
I'm new here & not sure where to post this:embarasse

I bought some pizza base flour from Aldi yesterday & using 1/2 the flour I made 3 pizzas ham, mushroom & mozeralla pizzas.
I worked out it cost me £1.05 per pizza.
I'm so pleased with myself, I had to tell someone:)

    morning!

weekend off:j woke up with a migraine_pale_ but had to get up to take DS2 to work - managed it ok but was poorly before we left, took some pills and feeling a lot brighter now.

HM veg soup for lunch - why is it that the soups made out of leftovers and following no recipe usually come out much tastier than one following a recipe? was yummy when I had some yesterday.

House is clean and tidy - ish. Kitchen floor needs attention later. Ironing to do and WM on with second lot shortly.

Taplord's leg is slightly better so he says. Wearing non-elastic socks and swapping his boots for trainers has helped.

Got given a big bag of cooking mags yesterday by a service users mother - brilliant ones like Good Food etc so hope to have nice time browsing through them and trying to adapt them to SW suitable as much as poss.

Off to read the thread now x
    Do what you love :happyhear

Well done CH27 you are welcome to join us anytime

Cranky- it's her loss. I love being a glamorous granny:D

Well managed to suck up a stanley knife blade in the hoover last night and blow it up:rotfl: DH said not to help again so this morning we have been out and bought a new one. It was on its last legs but still could have done without it IYKWIM.

DH is fitting the new bedroom carpet and I am taking DS2 to Ikea for new bits and pieces. This is my favourite bit when its all looking new and goregous.

Something quick for lunch as its the Manchester derby today and everything stops for that in our house. I wont tell you who I support but I will say I am wearing my lucky red knickers;):rotfl:

Have a good day everyone x

Well done on the OS style pizza's CH27 I expect if we keep reading all the great money saving tips there are around you'll be turning them out even cheaper by and by.

Beautiful day here and like most of you got my washing done and out on line. Dinner in slow cooker remainder of pork shank bought reduced for £1.50 so we'll have had 6 meals out of it and i bet we don't use it all even now! Love this MSE stuff makes me feel so back in control of what happens to my life.

Got to go to work later but only for 3hrs so it passes really quickly.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
