Am now visualising John Noakes and Shep...oh gollygosh, overtired or what? And Pollok must be awash with social workers, but I doubt if many actually live there!-joking , to any of my acquaintances from Pollok!!!!!!

    hiya everyone

only read half the thread, hoping to go back and catch up.

Been a day of catching up here, trying to do housework....but my book got in the way :rotfl:

OH's DSis came for tea tonight with her DGS who lives with her, roast chicken and various veggies, seemed to go down well, we let her DGS have an old laptop we have, he was overwhelmed and his Dsis was so happy, love to do something for them as she has taken a lot on with having her DGS living with her, she has .....not sure what it is called but he lives with her and she has control over his BM...what makes this even more special is that the mother was pregnant with him while she was with my SIL's son, so he is not related by blood, but she was always there for him, his mum and her son split but she was always there for him, his mum is a......not going there, but not able to look after him, so SIL took him in and is now his legal guardian, not easy for her as she is my age, and had a brain bleed a few years ago and as she says, things fall out of her head, think she is great and the DGS is a credit to her, so polite and lovely, you just want to hug him, but he is 10, don't do hugs ! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has had a good day xxx

oops thank you everyone for the well dones and good wishes for my OH and his new job, he says thank you very much xxx

that was the amazing thing about psycho sal she could have lived in the west end but she chose to live in pollok--it was an honest place who didnt mind her behaviour!! she didnt work on her own patch--i used to look about the area in wonderment because places were so cheap-i wanted to look about the west end but never got the chance-i enjoyed the realness of glasgow compared the artificialness of bournemouth where a shoe box costs a life time in hock!anyone want to buıy a flat!

i wonder in martin lewis has moneysavin groupies???

There's places like Pollok all over the west of scotland, rough and ready, and full of a mix of colourful fantastic people....and a few bampots too! I live about 5 minutes drive from there....our area used to be very desirable, but there are days when I look out the window and think the BBC are hiding, filming a new series of " The Scheme"..........
