Cheers buddy. The first OP of the month should really have gone in Dec 2011 but I forgot to make it haha.

The OH has been doing really well and not spending too much. Maybe my constant complaining about her NEXT shopping bills are finally starting to pay off! :j

Can't believe you are letting your OH loose on the NEXT catalogue/website.. You are a very brave person!

I did hide the NEXT Directory in the utility, since she is short she couldn't reach it for a couple of weeks and I forgot I put it there :rotfl:

The NEXT sale online is the worst thing, items keep arriving weeks after.

  • Just a small update.

The consultant called last weekend about DD2 to admit that they are now confused as her results say she is not epileptic. Instead we are now being referred to respiratory as another consultant has suggested it could be to do with her tonsils.... this just keeps on dragging on.

Had a contact lesnse and eye test at the weekend and had a telling off. I wear my lenses for to long i the day, so i need to update my glasses and make more of an effort. Might try a few days to go without my lenses, both for my eyes health and also i suppose it is cheaper in the long run.

Started at the weekend to photograph the ebay items, but the OH left the camera with less than 10% of the battery charged....

I had weekend to myself so managed a fair few house jobs, did some glossing, cleared branches from front lawn after the tree was felled. My car washers weren't working properly and cleaned out the filter. It was like a pond in there I couldn't get over how blocked with algae they were.

    Hope all are well.

My Dh wears contacts, never wears his glasses and he also used to get told off by the optician for waering them all day everyday, but he went and saw a newly qualified one at the practice recently and she recommeded a different type that are better for wearing for long hours. They are monthly ones and he says their alot more comforatble, plus we were paying £15 a month before, these ones are £11.

Hope you manage to get some answers for your daughter, must be awful not knowing.

Oh and my DH also bins the next directory and was very annoyed when i downloaded the app to his I-phone...
  • Hi all,

Not really had much movement on the money front. Currently have the MIL at my place to help OH get some of her house jobs done.

had a nice £350 quidco payment yesterday

    Hi Brodie,

Yes the optician did give me the sales speech over a new type of toric lense which allows for longer wear. But they are darn expensive and so far i've stuck to wearing my glasses after work at home. Just bought a years supply online which is still £320 but its better than the huge monthly sums they were quoting me.

In all honestly it was awful to start with as we thought there must be something really wrong with her, but as time goes on she is developing at a normal rate and other than having a few apnea's a week you wouldn't know anything was out of the ordinary. We both think its just going to be one of those things which she grows out of and will be a good story for her 18th birthday. (fingers crossed at least)

My OH's friend came to stay at ours for the Lincoln christmas market and she had an Iphone with the next app on it.... oh dear the fuss that created. Luckily my OH only has a standard Nokia and we still have a good 14 months left on our contracts :T

  • how exciting, we have had plenty of snow. Went out with the kids to build a snowman, after thirty minutes they were inside but i stayed out with the OH and we managed to make a family of snowmen 6ft tall. They started to get a bit heavy to push around! Felt like being a kid again.

On the MSE front sadly had to pay £180 for rear break pads and discs for OH car and also had a £300 invoice in for some work last year. So not looking good for Februarys OP.

I have however put up seven items on Ebay so might get a few pennies in at least.

Hope you are all enjoying the snow too!
