  • Had Greenthumb round yesterday doing some scarification to the lawn so thats £290, but some this summer we might have some grass to go with our moss lawn!

Had football and resisted the urge for a fish n chip and also didn't stop for the usual pint after.

OH had to do a larger than normal food shop, I think it came to £120 in the end :(. Food bills are certainly going up because I looked for my pack up bits this morning and it felt like we hardly received anything.

  • Decided not to apply for carers allowance as I worked it out that depending on my bonus i could end up being worse off with CA.
Plus the form is MASSIVE to fill out.

What about putting the money you would have spent on fish & chips in the OP fund?

Hope all is well with LP gang!

    Cheers

I don't have seperate funds or accounts like you and alot of others do, my "tactic" is simply to wait for pay day and whatever is left over from month before gets rounded up to a nice figure and gets OP'd haha. So technically the fish n chip money would go into the OP however my local fish n chip is so tasty especially after 1hr30 of exercise :rotfl:

  • Football last night....oh my word it was cold! I was clock watching ready to go inside the club hut for some warmth. My feet were like blocks of ice and my fingers were so numb i could hardly tie my laces. Heres hoping things warm up soon!

Trying to get the OH to spend a night sorting some Ebay bits is proving fruitless, going to give it a big push and get her off the sofa to help tonight. At the very least I want the photo's taking so I can recalim my garage so I don't have to de-ice my car again!

  • So had an alrght weekend, didn't get chance to do the ebay items but im hoping to push the issue with the OH tonight.

Having our roof tiles fixed today and had to pay for the lawn scarification today so n expensive day

We did buy DD2 some birthday bits and bobs from our friend who was about to list them on Ebay. But thats as far as we went saving money this weekend.

Also next weekend I MUST cut some more wood for my wood stores, its getting really low now especially with the number of fires we have been having of late in the lounge.

Going to try and have to be careful next month as we have three birthdays! Luckily me and the OH don't really need anything however it is a leap year and she is threatening to propose..... i hope she doesn't :rotfl:

  • Agreed to do some ebaying wednesday night as OH was a bit ill last night (happy enough to watch tv so i'd put it down to being lazy).

Whilst having the roof done I asked them to price up the guttering, fascias etc and its £2500 which im quite pleased with as I was expecting about double. So i'll try and schedule that in for later in the year.

Got football tonight so will try and resist the lure of fish n chips on my way home.
Need to fill up with petrol, got 1/4 tank left and if there are any shortages due to that refinery going bust a full tank will keep me going for a while.

Looking more and more like I should be able to OP something in the region of 2k so would make a 4k total for January. Would be pleased with that.

One thing I am missing at the moment is Sky tv, the freeview box we have is terrible. Its slow and unresponsive, the series link cancels programs without telling you if theres a conflict.... but will resist until next year for Sky.
