I suggest you give up on flyboy, he is so intent and fixed on his clamping ways there is no way to get him to see reason. Hopefully he will come to see sense before his antics are made illegal or he might experience being the one prosecuted for a change (I wonder how many motorists he has had clamped will feel sorry for him?).

I've put him on ignore, he isn't worth the effort to debate with/ offer advice to.

totally agree with the 'ignore' bit but let's not be too hasty; I openly admit to enjoying the cries of pain from this guy, ethical trev, perky and others. they cheer up my day. call it schadenfreude if you will but I can't help myself.

shame on you all for coming on here to bully, harrass and intimidate flyboy. it's not as if his sort extort money from motorists by using the same tac......er..
  • I saw that Al-Beeb were giving a platform at 6.40 this morning to a clamper to whine about the parking chaos that would ensue once their trade is banned.

Did anyone see it, I missed it as I was driving to work.

As for Flyboy, he is a well known WUM on other forums. Best ignored you will find.

"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "
  • WUM??????????????????? thick this morning.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • The ban will also apply to towing away and all other forms of vehicle immobilisation. Once implemented, anyone who clamps (or otherwise immobilises) a vehicle or tows it away on private land without specific legal authority to do so will face criminal proceedings or civil sanctions.

At least this will save me money on my next overseas holiday.
Why bother spending £50 per week for airport car parking when all I will have to do is to leave my vehicle in the car park of a company located near the airport, and leave a note inside the windscreen informing the local council that the car hasn't been dumped or abandoned, simply parked for a week.

The owners of the place I leave my car won't be able to tow it, immoblise it, or block it in, and as the council will know that it hadn't been abandoned, they won't have the authority to remove it either.

Then again, why use a car park? I could just as easily pick the driveway for a house near the airport, and providing I wasn't blocking the owners car, they couldn't remove mine.

Yes, the owners of the property could probably apply for a court order allowing my car to be removed, but how long would this take?

  • Cheers, one more to add to the thesaurus.

Not just a clamper on BBC Breakfast, but the legend that is Trevor Whitehouse.

He came across as a right smug git.

You could, but it would be anti social! don't think anybody here would agree doing that is fair. We are just happy the cowboys are getting the boot.
Would you really fancy leaving your car on someones property for a week and hoping nothing happened to it!;)

I remember once going to Celtic park and a young lad "saying mind yea car mate" I said don't need to son there's a Rottweiler in there, he says "yes but can it put out fires" went to give him a few bob and he said no pay us when you come back!!!:) He was there when we did. I bet the kids a millionaire now!:)
