  • Hi, does anyone know the minimum top-up amount for Fresh? My daughter was with easymobile and never has much money so was able to top up £2 every week or so.

    Thanks
  • Has anyone who request the porting code to keep your number actually got it yet?????

I requested it at the weekend and am still waiting. Want to get sorted out with new provider.

How did you manage to request it at the weekend? They only anounced it on Tuesday!

I got a text today from Fresh saying...
Welcome to Fresh. Your SIM will arrive in the next 5 working days. To get 10% extra top-up in Nov & Dec remember to register and top up online at https://www.freshmobile.co.uk

Am I right in thinking that there will be no charge when you transfer/shut down the account? They used to charge £5 I think - just need to know how far to run credit down!
Anyone else found interesting things to buy with premium texts?

IIRC they don't charge you £5 for closing the account, rather that they deduct £5 as an admin fee from any refund you are due.

    No refund, no fee.

Can't send premium texts as I never topped up. :(
  • Just found answer to my previous question, min top up is £10 so I think its back to o2 for us!

I noticed with Fresh, although they are 3p, it does mention that if you do not make any calls in 90 days your account will be closed. Does that apply even if I made 100 text messages in 90 days but no calls? I also need to be able to check my balance by text as well as online, which I could do with easymobile.
A slightly out of the box thinking type answer... call your own landline number or the speaking clock on 123 a couple of times a month. It won't cost much and you wouldn't be disturbing anyone!

Some premium texts work - a number of charities go through ( post 18 in particular on this link has a lot of specific detail aligned mainly to one text number with different codes for different charities ). I don't have automatic top up but have donated £55 so far in total.

I try to subscribe to the fresh deal, it says:

    Your subscription is not active.

    Any idea?

Is your bill showing that amount reduced? It's just that i read somewhere else that though this may appear to work easymobile won't hand over any premium earnings to the charities. Don't get me wrong if I was sure this would work I'd be texting right away but I'm under them impression my credit will go down and the charities won't benefit.

very annoying you cannot use autotop up - are they not therefore by their actions placing restrictions on your account (which they'd have had to notify us 30 days prior [to this change]?)

If this is the case I am sure the national press would be interested.....after all it looks like Stelio can afford it ;)
