    Hi Kazda

I have just had my case transferred to this court. I have a general form of judgement last Monday. It stated that the Judge needed further information in the form of a list of charges detailed with date, amount and reason. I have now sent this off and await my court date. Maybe we'll be there the same day???

Don't suppose anyone has the number to SCAM to hand - I have lost it!!:o :o:o

Hi thanks for your reply is this the same information as per the templates that we sent them originally?

    Thanks Kazda

Hi everyone, first time poster - long time reader and all that :)

Just wanted to get a couple of opinions on my claim at the moment. I made a claim for £1834 a few months back using the excellent templates on offer here - and after reading many of the posts about Lloyd's on this forum.

The first letter for the claim was sent roughly 3 months ago (don't have the exact dates here at work at the moment). About 2 weeks later, we got a letter saying they had received my claim (classing it as a complaint) and would look in to it. This was from Andover i think, some Lloyd's complaints department? (i think i have read about Andover before on this board).

So 3 more weeks went by, and we heard nothing. So we sent the second letter, restating the claim and demanding a response. Up until Thursday of this week, we never received a reply and was about to start taking court action. On Thursday another letter out of the blue from Andover came through, same complaints department saying "we are not yet in a position to respond to your complaint - thank you for your patience".

Is this normal? is this department at Andover the ones that will be able to repay the owed amount - or have my letters some how been misplaced and placed in the wrong channels. The only reason i say this is that a friend who made a claim at the same time i did - using the same templates, branch etc received her payment for just over £1000 within 2 weeks. She did not receive any letters from Andover - just a letter from her branch saying they had reviewed the account and agreed it owed her the amount requested and had paid.

So do we think i should allow Andover more time, or send another letter - or just start the court proceedings.

    Thanks peeps.

Goodness NO don't give Andover a minute longer than they should have. Start your court proceeding Lloyds just fob you off and are very ignorant in not replying to any letters you send them.

    Good luck,

I agree with Kez. Go ahead and issue yoru claim on Moneyclaim Online, OR write to the Financial ombudsman and ask them to investigate (which is free of charge), as LLoyds will continue to send you the "we are still investigating" every 4 weeks and will hope to drag it out for as long as possible (hopefully unitl the OFT make a judgement over bank charges - which no-one can be sure when that will be).
Andover IS the correct department for dealing with your request for the refund regardless of where you sent your original letters to. They are the department who are dealing with this complaints, and the department who at some point will send you a "bog off you're not having your money back letter" - UNTIL such a time as you issue a court claim, then it is only their ignorant, arrogant solicitors you will come up against instead. Your friend was lucky to get a quick pay out, however there is total disparity over how Lloyds are dealing with each case. it may have something to do with the size of the claim also, as they would have probably offered your friend £750 goodwill gesture anyway and therefore decided that another £250 to get it out of the way without court costs added was not gonna kill them.
Some of us never even got a goodwill gesture offer - we just got a "go away you're not getting your money letter" so there's the evidence of the disparity of how claims are being dealt with by this vile bank.

I sent a claim to Lloyds for approx £700 and they wrote back to me saying that " the charges were for arranging higher tempory overdrafts and not default charges" ?!! I never asked them to arrange. They did not return any items unpaid, but charged me everyday the amount increased.

Anyone tell me what this means regards my claim??

I put in the first letter on 29th June requesting £1300. On Friday, 1 week later Lloyds credited my account with £750.00 and sent me a letter regarding the 'one off occasion' for refunding this money.
I'm happy with it, I like my Lloyds account and now have £750.00 more than I did at the beginning of the week

    Hey all,

My claim is with Lloyds for £578.20 (inc Interest)

Been through all the usual steps with Lloyds to the point of MCOL which cost me £80, it said Lloyds had until the 21st to respond. I got a letter today from them basically saying they will give me £519 within 10 working days, not actually asking if I want to settle for this amount and it says "please treat this letter as our final response". Do I have to tell them I don't want it and want the full £578.20 + the £80 court fees? Or do I just ignore it and let the court process continue?

It says if I am still unhappy I should take it up with the financial ombudsman.

    What do I do?

    Thanks for your help
